However, once on the schedule, the work moved forward just as promised, and I couldn't be happier. The excavation crew were cheerful, skilled and adaptive, and got the digging, repair and clean-up done efficiently within just a few hours. Once I saw how many different people (Dig Safe electric, gas, and town water department) needed to be involved that day in order to make the project work safe, smooth and up to code, I understood why scheduling takes a while!
