This is the best rental experience I've ever had! The owner, Allison, was always communicative with me- despite our continually changing plans. She was friendly and warm, and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best rental experience possible.We rented a skiff for two weeks. I was nervous about finding a boat that fit the Great Pond requirements as everybody was booked but Allison worked with me to finalize the booking, even holding the boat for us, free of charge, until we'd finalized our plans. She remained flexible as we went back and forth with dates and drop-off.In the days leading up to the rental, she always took my calls and/or got back to me in a timely manner. When we needed somebody to go over the boat with us last-minute and her driver was unavailable, she offered to come out herself at the renter's availability. Her driver that dropped off the boat spent extra time with us to drive around the area, point out the tricky spots in the water, and give us directions for the best places to go.When I saw the lack of reviews, I was nervous to rent but I can't say enough about how wonderful renting with Island Water Sports was. The boat was perfect for our needs and price point. The owner was helpful, communicative, flexible, and accommodating. Thank you for making our vacation perfect!

Unreliable boats from unaccomodating owner. Our three small families with adult children rented a beautiful house on the pond. Three kayaks and a skiff were delivered as promised. When several of us attempted to take a ride the next morning, the motor on the skiff couldn't be started. When we called Alice, the owner, several suggestions were given to remedy the problem, none of which worked. A second call was made and a voicemail left, but we never got a return call. I called again later that day and she sent her son, Rob, to try and fix the motor. He said that the pull cord was jammed and could possibly be rotted inside. He also suggested that the cord was pulled when in gear, but this was not the case. He made the decision to replace the 14 foot boat for a slightly larger 16 foot one. Although it initially stalled out a lot, the problem was remedied by topping off with more gas and frequently pumping the fuel line.I called Alice to request a small credit for the 1.75 days that we couldn't use the boat, but she refused, saying that she provided a larger boat for us. We didn't ask for a bigger boat, only a working one. She was rude and totally lacking in customer service. If you don't want to ruin a perfectly good vacation, rent boats elsewhere.
