Had a great workout at this LA Fitness. The gym is spacious with plenty of room between machines, so it never felt crowded. They have newer exercise equipment that looks and works well. The best part is there is no typical gym smell at all, and the air conditioning keeps the space comfortably cool throughout the session. Overall everything was good - clean, well maintained, and easy to get a full workout in. Would definitely come back.
New member, just joined. The gym is good for the price in terms of equipment type and availability. The locker rooms and sauna are absolutely disgusting and borderline unusable. The sauna smells moldy and also incredibly dirty. If you put money into renovating these areas or regular maintenance, you could like have consistent happy members and recruit new members from both cheaper and more expensive gyms.
I have been a member here for about a month after being at Planet Fitness Reading for the last two years (with still an active regular membership, not black card so I didn't use the black card perks) so a lot of this review is the comparison of my two experiences. The LA Fitness is a very nice space with good equipment and lots of options. They have a dedicated personal training room, so if you like personal training it's a great perk that Planet Fitness didn't have.
