After years of dental anxiety and avoidance, including some negative dental experiences elsewhere in Somerville, I was able to schedule an appointment with Dr. Wagner at the recommendation of a friend. I was treated kindly by all staff, given support to help me relax, and not judged for getting emotional.
Dr. Wagner, Brittany, and Jayme all made me feel welcome. Dr. Rosie Wagner and her team are clearly trauma informed and well versed in treating patients with medical anxiety and phobias. They are doing such important work and deserve to be celebrated! The dental assistant Brittany is so genuinely lovely and kind, using humour to make an inherently unpleasant experience manageable. They offered me a relaxing warm neck pillow and my choice of music. Dr. Wagner is patient and gentle, taking her time to explain everything and answer any questions. The space is welcoming and inclusive with great energy, which I have never been able to say for a dental office before. Wonderful dental practice. Everyone is very kind and friendly, from the front desk professional all the way up to the Doc. Getting into the practice can take a bit of time, but once you're in, scheduling stuff is not a big deal. If you have dental anxiety, or just don't like seeing a dentist for whatever reason, this place can help!
