We moved to a large estate in Litchfield County, CT last year. Upon arrival, the previous owner handed us a laminated list of over 30 tradesmen that serviced the property. Today, there is only one company of those 30 still employed here by us, and that is Haupt Tree. In a geographic area where it can be difficult to find real professionals, Haupt stands out. The company is highly responsive and completes every single task with excellence. Having a large property with a lot of trees, they are here frequently. Among the services they provide us: spraying for ticks, deep root fertilization, protective spraying/injection of trees and shrubs, tree and large shrub pruning, tree removal, new tree selection and installation, tree cabling, etc. Speaking as someone who has hired many arborists and tree-related experts over the years, I'll say Haupt is by far the best. Everyone who comes here is friendly and knowledgeable. Their equipment is incredibly impressive: new, gleaming, and task-specific. If I write Erik with a question, I get an answer back immediately. The office staff is sharp, responsive and friendly. It is no exaggeration to say we do not have another group helping us with exterior maintenance that even comes close. I unreservedly recommend Haupt should you have any tree-related question or issue. They are consummate professionals and will help you take the best possible care of the most important part of your landscape.

After building a new home; the “yard” was a waste land. I knew it was way more than I could handle and called Tomich. I met with Adam and his father Chris. I outlined my vision and they drew it for approval.
Adam and his team accomplished in less than two weeks what I would have accomplished in ten years (no lie - do you know how long it takes to dig a hole big enough for a tree?). I’m a control freak and quickly realized I could trust Adam.
The results exceeded my expectations. I am in love with my new yard and little pond and waterfall. I was especially glad to learn that Adam was flexible. We made some plant swaps that enhanced the end result.

Berkshire Products is an amazing group of people to work with! I feel super lucky to be within a two hour drive so I can walk around and look at all of the really cool slabs and other fun hunks of wood! The staff is incredible! I send them my list of “MUST SEES” ahead of time and they have them pulled to the front for me to see and touch easily! Once I’ve got my bunch of slabs picked out, the carefully crate them all up and arrange for shipment straight to my shop! The trucking company they use is top notch! I really appreciate this company and the products and service they offer! PS It’s a great place to bring customers on a “filed trip” and again their website is great for sorting through what you KNOW YOU WANT TO LOOK AT, because they have A LOT and it’s amazing but can be overwhelming if you don’t have an idea of what you’re looking for ??
Ryan & Alexander were my installers and I can say my job came out perfect ! All the staff helped us to get the results we wanted. Great direction to get as many options for slabs were offered. Fabrication was done with state of the art laser technology to achieve an exact fit. Thank you Rock Solid great job!
I had the pleasure of getting my household pets groomed here, (great results, I was worried my grumpy babies would be a problem, and apparently they were great!) and through all the changes and daycare additions, one thing has remained the same: This place is run by people who really love and know their animals. I love the daycare option BowMeow has, because it helps dogs socialize, making them better able to handle a busy park, family gathering or other public/semi public environments. I also got to work here in my youth, and I can say for sure this is a pillar of Sheffield's community.
They did great work with a renovation we did a few years back. They have also been excellent completing some smaller projects as well as responding to failures due to an old house and an errant floor nailer. Everyone on their team from office to job site has been respectful, responsive, and fair. Good people to work with.
