We had a celebration recently for our two adult children who were both married in small weddings during Covid. Mahaiwe Tent made our celebration easy as can be with one stop shopping! We not only were able to arrange for the right size tent for our backyard and for our guest list, but we were able to rent everything else we needed for the party. The tables, chairs, tablecloths, napkins, plates, glassware, and cutlery were all rented through Mahaiwe Tent too. The entire party was arranged in one fell swoop, and it was as easy as could be. I loved the wide color choices for the tablecloths and napkins too. Lynn and Lindsay took good care of us from the Mahaiwe Tent office. Thank you for helping us throw a fun celebration!

I saw Clario's sign on a neighbor's lawn and decided to give him a call, since other floor refinishers hadn't wanted to take on the beautiful, historic, but difficult-to-work-with floors in my house. He gave a prompt estimate that seemed more than fair for the work, and within a week he and his team had begun a challenging job. The results are even better than I hoped for! Furthermore, the crew was careful about minimizing dust and mess, so that even though they did almost half of the square footage in the house, cleanup was extremely easy. I have already booked them to work on my front porch.

Her approach to massage and bodywork is unique, as she uses different massage modalities during a session and seems to intuit where your body needs special attention. She has such a calm and lovely demeanor and knows how to make her clients relax and open up to the experience. I have been so amazed by her work that I am now also learning yoga from her and we are incorporating that practice into our sessions together. She is a gem!
I have been using Kimball Fuel for many years for oil delivery and to maintain my furnace with annual cleanings. They have always been responsive and helpful -- on Friday I had an issue with my furnace and they really did a 5 star job!Stanley, my technician was so knowledgeable and patient. I booked the 3 friends special which included a 30 min facial, 30 min massage, and 30 min salt cave. We were also served delicious cheese and crackers, sandwiches, and drinks. The studio is cozy and clean. Colleen is so warm and friendly and really went out of her way to make me and my friends comfortable. We had a fantastic time and would definitely do it again when in the area next! Highly recommend.

Only place I’ll go to anymore in Great barrington. This is the second salon I’ve tried in GB and I had the best experience. I don’t much about hair so I didn’t know exactly how to explain what I wanted, but Steph was able to take my ill-wording and make my dream come true. I’ve been trying to go blonde now for two years and this is the first time I’ve ever walked out of a salon having the EXACT hair I wanted. Total dream experience. Was having trouble finding a florist to deliver to a certain place and Bella Flora came through. The staff was friendly, patient and very helpful. I left it up to the staff, to design a floral arrangement for me and it came out absolutely beautiful. I can't thank them enough!
Anyone who's had a computer crash and needs it for work can understand how stressful that can be. From my first phone call with Michael, telling him about my issue, to meeting him shortly after to repair my device (and ultimately helping me resolve things), I was so impressed by his kindness, hospitality and professionalism. I can't tell you how grateful I am to have a resource like this just fifteen minutes away rather than driving two hours round trip to get to the nearest best buy geek squad. Kate Lascar (of Berkshire Property Agents) is a stellar real estate agent. From the moment she took us on as clients, she was proactive in helping us find our perfect vacation home. She started off by asking us a few simple questions and quickly followed up with a weekend itinerary of showings that exactly fit our needs and preferences (including many listings we didn’t previously find on Zillow). It was a high-yield, organized, and efficient way to see several different properties throughout the Berkshires. At each property, Kate was helpful in pointing out both positives and negatives, and didn’t apply any pressure to submit an offer, despite the fact that it took a large chunk of her time to show us so many properties on Memorial Day Weekend. After our short time together, we found the property we wanted, submitted an offer, negotiated a great final price, and closed in ~6 weeks (again, thanks to her efficiency). In addition, Kate has a knack for design and we’ll be enlisting her services to help us fill the house before we use it. In summary, Kate is knowledgeable, efficient, and extremely approachable. She made buying our second home simple and pain free.
Liz is one of the best hair stylists and colorists I've ever been to, and a very nice person without the drama or pretension some stylists have. Pleasant, comfortable salon right around the corner from Main street, and parking is usually easy.
I've renovated a number of bathrooms over the years and have been very happy with the customer service at Waterware (Plimpton and Hills). It's a very nice showroom. Clean, bright, large, and easy to check out the merchandise. The past two times I purchased items through Cori, who was terrific. Genuinely interested in helping me. And provided some excellent design advice. I wanted my items asap, and she followed up to ensure they were in and called me. Very pleased. The customer service at the counter where you pay is also excellent. Prices are competitive. No need to shop on-line or anyplace else.
Alexis has been engaging and professional since the day we met him. Being new to the area, we took a chance on the Realtor company, and were assigned to Alexis.We were relocating from a different region, so any meetings and/or showings required advance planning. Throughout all, Alexis was patient with the situation. He came to understand what our preferences and needs were, as well as respecting our budget. It was not always easy, as there were a limited number of properties on the market that met our needs, and also our wants, such as finding an older house with some history. But Alexis jumped right in and quickly found what we were looking for.Once we decided to make an offer on a property, Alexis was right there, coaching us and making helpful suggestions. He related extremely well to the seller’s agent, and they both made it easier for us to move forward. He made sure that we did everything we needed to do, -on time– and also was able to offer valuable information on contacts and helpful people (plumbers, etc.) in the area.Finally, Alexis has been willing to stop in and check on our new property, as we prepare for the move in at a distance. Alexis has been so very good to work with, that we now look forward to introducing our families to each other!
While visiting the Berkshires from Southern California, I’m so glad and grateful that I found Dave. I’ve been suffering with a back/rib issue for 2 months and I’m happy to report that I’ve received about 80% relief of my pain after my session. It feels like a miracle. It’s been 4 days since my session and the relief has not abated. Other healing modalities have given me temporary relief but the pain would come back. Not this time. Dave is a healer. Thank you.

Visits are quick and thorough. Doc knew exactly the areas I needed work on. We went over X-rays and he explained to me why I was having my neck and shoulder pain. I also suffer from daily migraines. After my adjustments the frequency of my headaches have significantly dropped. I’m only upset that I never went to him sooner!
Dr Kristine Olsen knows more about the body than anyone I have ever met. She continues to amaze me with her abilities, and I tell all of my massage clients to go to her, as well as friends and family. I met her @17 years ago when I went to her for a reoccurring chronic back pain which she remedied. I used to only go when my body felt pain, now I go because literally everything improves when I do. So grateful to have her here in Great Barrington, highly recommend!

I had a very positive experience with Steven MacLeay and Sacred Oak Homes when they did a renovation of my home that included a large deck addition, screened porch, and renovation of an interior room that included plumbing and complete gutting and replacing walls, ceiling, and floor. The Construction Supervisor Michael Brex was extremely professional, talented, responsive to questions, and meticulous in the work. The estimator and Project Manager Don Voudren were also excellent to work with. It took awhile for me to settle on a design and Sacred Oak stuck with me through the design and estimating process to get to a project that was within my budget. The estimating and billing are transparent and I could clearly see the exact cost of materials and labor. I had a problem with the interior painting and when I complained, Don and Michael were very responsive and the problem was fixed in a timely and professional manner which I really appreciated. Their work is very high quality and I recommend Sacred Oak Homes to prospective clients without any reservation.

I recently had an amazing experience with a store on Main Street in Great Barrington!I was always intrigued by the mysterious locked door with all the beautiful glasses with such beautiful colors.I knocked one day on the forbidden door when I saw a gentleman through the window.He then had to open the door while I was out front since his customer had just arrived. He said it was by appointment only and to text the number on the front door. I said to myself, hell why not text them and get inside this place! So I made a bold decision and texted the number on the front door. Well, later on I received a reply back asking a time to meet him at the store. We made a date and time! He said to bring my prescription for my eyeglasses!Well, a week later I was greeted by Dayne and allowed to enter the mysterious store with splashes of so much color and design! I was like a kid in a candy store! Dayne immediately started pulling out frames for me to try. Do I like wire, plastic? We identified my choice and then we went to town trying on all kinds of eyeglasses. I’ve never felt like such a princess trying on all these absolutely gorgeous colorful glasses. We narrowed it down to five. We then narrowed it down to two. I couldn’t decide between the two so I decided on both! I’m worthy of this right? I just started crying! Dayne had no idea how much these eyeglasses full of color and personality meant to me!Exactly one week later I get a text that my eyeglasses were ready!I cannot express how much joy I felt, how much talent Dayne has and he is just amazing in helping you find the perfect eyewear that fits your facial structure and your personality!!I highly recommend them anytime you need eyeglasses and I know you will too have an amazing experience and end up having such joy and fun shopping for eyeglasses!The mysterious shop is no longer a mystery to me, but it’s such pure bliss to me when walking by now!! Duane is an amazing barber! Cut my hair exactly how I wanted it and even hyped me up by saying “Oh yeah, that looks good” every now and again. He cracked me up and I had a great time. Definitely recommend!
