Harmony Grove Cemetery is a beautifully kept, expansive cemetery with well-maintained grounds on a steep hillside. It features a small chapel near the entrance and well-kept graves, with streets to guide visitors through the serene, wooded landscape. Visitors have described it as an impressive and tranquil site for meditation.
Does the headstone of Frederick Townsend Ward exist in this cemetery? Wikipedia says so. He’s the mercenary who fought for the Qing against the Taiping but his actual remains were buried in Nanjing but now unknown after Mao Zedong demolished the shrine in Songjiang, China. He died in 1862.
This is a beautifully kept, huge cemetery, with grounds on a steep hillside, and a small chapel near the entrance. The graves are also well kept, and there are streets to help guide you through.
