I've been a patient of Jeff's for nearly 20 years. The entire crew is always friendly and accommodating. The North Shore just got 2 feet of snow dumped on it earlier this week making parking nearly impossible however I managed to beach my car along a half foot of hardened slush along the parking spaces in front of the office. 40 minutes later the checkup/cleaning was complete and I was back out on the street and ready to go. While getting into the spot was relatively easy getting out proved to be impossible. I kept trying to get momentum but my car wouldn't budge. I didn't know what to do... when out of nowhere Dr. Jeff and Ashlyn appeared and started pushing my car! After a few moments the car was unstuck and I was on my way. If that isn't going the extra mile for their customers...Then I don't know what is.

I just left after getting a wisdom tooth extraction! As someone who usually dreads going to the dentist the entire process was so incredibly positive I had to write a review!! Everyone at this office is so kind and accommodating and the space is much more comfortable and homey than most dental offices. For context I hadn't been to the dentist 2019 because of a mixture of shame and anxiety. I know logically my teeth aren't nearly as bad as other people's but I still get so afraid of dentists judging how long I wait to seek care. I felt so comfortable and safe here that I don't believe that will be a problem anymore! Thank you to everyone at Essex Street Dental Medicine for your willingness to help me and make the dentist not such a bad place after all!

Essex Street Dental is a highly professional, warm and caring, family-owned, 20 year dental practice located in an historic building in Salem MA. Over 10+ years we have experienced all of the dental services Dr. Casiglia offers at this family practice and we can HIGHLY RECOMMEND, without reservations, Dr Casiglia and the practice.
Dr Casiglia responded to emergencies, stayed in touch after treatment, and took the time to make sure we understood the risks and benefits, what was involved in our treatments and what our options were for treatment. The practice includes restorations and we needed fillings, caps/crowns and implants, as well as cosmetic procedures over the past 10+ years.
The practice dental hygienists are experienced, welcoming, organized, well-trained, with Dr. Casiglia for many years. The office is clean, comfortable.
Dr. Casiglia is a lifelong learner and teacher, always interested in improving his practice and teaching others. He trained at University of Pennsylvania Dental School and went on to complete a 5 year residency in oral medicine at Harvard University Dental School. He teaches at local dental and medical schools. He is a Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons, and Director, American Board of Oral Medicine.

I highly recommend this office to anybody, but especially to those who may be a little nervous around going to the dentist. I had incredible tooth pain and was able to get an appointment the next day when I had never been to this office and had fallen behind on some of my dental care. They were so welcoming, Non-Judgmental, and responsive And we're even able to diagnose and treat the day I went in! Hands down the best experience I've ever had at the dentist and I feel so lucky to live close by and continue to be their patient!
