“I had a really good experience at this salon! My braids came out great -- they're very neat and the sizing is consistent. The attached photos are from the next day because I had to rush out after my appointment.

Beyond the quality work, my braider was very friendly and patient with me (e.g., it took me a while to decide whether I wanted a middle or side-part but she didn't get frustrated with me; she worked with me to find a curl pattern that would work with the extensions I bought).

Additionally, the salon owner is a woman of integrity. My braider accidentally told me the wrong price for the hairstyle ($180). Later, the salon owner informed me the actual price is $220 but still only charged me $180 because that's the price that was given to me and that I initially agreed with.

Before coming to the salon, I was nervous because the owner said they do not guarantee a price before the appointment. But that's because they like to do a test braid for clients to make sure they understand the size and length the client wants. Then based off of that information, they tell you the price. Although this was not something I needed to do, I'm sure you can work with them to adjust the style to fit your budget needs!

One recommendation if you go is to bring cash. They accept zelle sometimes, but cash is the preferred payment method.“

“This is such a hidden gem. The salon is beautiful, calm and such a vibe. Everything from the exposed brick, sage burning to the products and conversation. Everyones favorite part of getting their hair done is when they wash it and this was the best one I've ever had. The technique and care was magical. “My experience at Philosphe was a 10 out of 10! This is coming from someone who has never had a good experience at a hair salon and has not found a go to stylist in my 30+ years of living. “When going to Peaches it was very straightforward which I appreciate immensely. I was quickly treated for a wash, conditioner, scalp treatment, and silk press.

The atmosphere was very clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The people and the owner (Peaches herself) were both hilarious and clearly professional in the way they carried themselves, presented, and their clear levels of expertise. My hair was silky smooth, moisturized, and even my curls lasted in the 90 degree weather when leaving.

“I suffer from hair loss and I have tried several different treatments. None of those treatments have been truly affective.
From my first consultation with Ms. Chimene, I knew she was the truth. From the way she takes her time to explain some of the root cause of hair loss, and her transparency about other method of treatment, I knew I wanted to give her a try.
I have just completed my second treatment, and I already see a difference in my growth. At first, I thought it was just wishful thinking but when I compared the pictures from my first visit, there is definitely a difference.
I make a long commute to get treated by Ms. Chimene and I don't regret it at all. She is so welcoming, from the moment you hit the hallway you can smell the smoothing aroma of essential oils coming from her shop, the seat is warmed for your relaxation and its just an all around relaxing experience.
Now about the treatment. This ladies figures is magical. She massages the scalp, cleans all your worries away. Her holistic approach for hair treatment is divine. It is a total of about 2.5-3hr of strike TLC to your hair in scalp. You can't beat that!!!

“I have been searching high and low to find a stylist specifically for my pixie cut. I stumbled across this salon online and decided to check out their website. I booked my appointment a week in advance with ease. The day of my appointment I was running late but they were really nice and did not make a fuss of it. I had the pleasure of having Malik style my pixie. I didn't have to wait more than 5-10 minutes to sit in his chair. He briefly examined the condition of my hair and asked me of my expectations. He was really hilarious. He had me laughing throughout my service. The atmosphere almost feels like you're sitting in your auntie's living room listening to gossip and good music. I normally wear my pixie for a few days before changing into braids or a wig but it's been over 2 weeks and I'm still wearing it. It seems to get better and better as the days go on.
