Yulia Berry's Flute Studio Musical Instruments And Teachers

“Yulia Berry is a truly exceptional teacher. I have worked with her since 2010 and in this time , I have witnessed her special gifts as teacher both with my playing and in watching her students grow.
I came to Yulia as a life long adult player. Yulia has taught me things that have advanced my playing beyond what I thought I could do. She chooses pieces that are both challenging and are perfect for the way I express myself. Her methods for teaching technique bring very fast and effective results. Her passion and deep understanding for the pieces help me create a beautiful performance. She focusses on my strengths as well as providing well thought out feedback that allows me to grow in a supportive way. I've witnessed so many of her students grow in leaps and bounds because of this. I've seen Yulia grow as a professional through her many publications she has developed- all with the purpose of bringing musicians from all over the world together. In addition to her teaching expertise, she brings warmth and confidence to her students. She works tirelessly and selflessly to bring the best out in her students. Yulia is a gem-“

“I truly can’t say enough en pointe wonderful things about the Boston Ballet Adult Foundations class. While I’m sure all of the instructors are exceptional, my experience with Julia—both from a pedagogical and inclusivity standpoint—has been nothing short of top-notch. She is clearly a beautifully trained dancer, but what truly sets her apart is the way she meets each student exactly where they are and helps them grow from there.

Learning something new as an adult can feel intimidating, but Julia has a rare ability to make everyone feel seen, valued, and included—no small feat. She breaks down steps with clarity and patience, creating a class environment that feels supportive rather than overwhelming. You never feel like you’re just going through the motions; instead, you feel encouraged to plié into the learning process with confidence.

Most importantly, Julia genuinely cares—not just about correct technique, but about her students, their progress, and cultivating a real love for the art of ballet. Her passion is contagious, and it turns each class into something you look forward to all week.

I’m incredibly grateful for her teaching and so glad I took the leap and signed up. If you’re reading this because you’re on the fence, take it as your cue to jeté—I highly recommend giving it a try. ?“

“Ben at Boston Bass Lessons has been an awesome teacher and a big reason I’ve been able to level up my bass playing. He’s helped me fill in a lot of gaps in my understanding — especially around theory — and has a really chill, approachable way of explaining things that just makes stuff click.

Every lesson feels super focused on what I need at the time, whether it's technique, timing, or getting more confident with improvisation. I always leave our sessions feeling motivated and like I’ve made progress.

If you're looking to get better at bass with someone who knows their stuff, I definitely recommend Ben at Boston Bass Lessons.“

“I enrolled my daughter in the indoor family class (0-4) when she had just turned 2 years-old until now at 3 years and 3 months old. We are currently taking a break just to try out some different activities for her (not enough hours in the weekend to do everything), but I couldn’t recommend CMCJP enough. It’s obvious that Christy, the program’s founder, has a background in early childhood music education, and that she carefully curates her curriculum to cultivate musical development (i.e. learning different rhythmic patterns, songs in minor vs. major keys), music appreciation, and, most of all, fun for the kids and families! As opposed to other less thoughtful children’s music classes, she doesn’t just play a guitar while the kids shake some instruments. She really thinks about what skills she can teach through her song choices, the instruments she chooses to have the kids play with, and the body motions she incorporates with almost all her songs (clapping, dancing, etc.). As a former dancer, I particularly appreciate the importance she places on movement with most of her songs, as well as tactile props, such as scarves, accordion ropes, and, always a kid-favorite, the PARACHUTE.

In short, if you want to expose your child to a high-quality early childhood activity, I highly recommend CMCJP. We will be signing back up in the future, hopefully for some outdoor classes in the summer!“

“I take lessons with Sienna at Cambridge Piano Lessons, and I have had a phenomenal experience as an adult trying to get back into learning piano and taking lessons. Sienna is an absolute genius. She has a brilliant way of explaining music and how to play the notes on the page. She challenges me and provides feedback that helps me to learn more about the foundation of the music. She also provides explanations in music theory (without going too much in the weeds!) which allows me to understand the basis/foundations of the music that I am playing. I feel like I have definitely improved and am getting the attention that I need to advance my skills.“

“Brant is an amazing teacher. I also agree with all the other reviews about his impressive expertise and knowledge. Even without having enough time to practice, Brant found a way to motivate me and to make me improve my skills and theory knowledge. I definitely recommend his services.“

“We used Little Groove for my son’s 4th birthday party and it was amazing! They were so easy to work with and had great communication throughout the entire planning process. Tommy arrived early, and had 20 kids fully engaged and giggling the entire time. He brought a variety of toys (maracas, puppets, drums, parachute, etc) which the kids loved and also allowed them to participate in a variety of ways. I can’t say enough good things about little groove and I highly recommend them“
