After an accident I had surgery on my thumb and hand a year ago and due to scar adhension formation, had to have a revisional surgery a few weeks ago. After my initial surgery I saw a general OT with another practice to rehabilitate my function and strength and they were great but since I developed all the adhesions and didn't regain full functionality of my thumb, knew I would need another surgery. This time around I wanted to make sure that my rehab would be with a hand focused OT. I had my revisional surgery a few weeks ago and my experience with Spaulding has been nothing but great. This place is awful. The front desk staff are so discriminatory, disrespectful and treat chronic pain patients awfully. Why do these people bother to work in healthcare if they don’t care about people?

Staff needs to learn to be more compassionate to people who are struggling with chronic pain issues. They are extremely insensitive and demeaning. Please hire new receptionists or you will lose clients.
