“Ryan and his Team at Finishing Touch Paining did a fantastic job on painting the exterior of our house. While we changed the color, the crew sanded and prepped the house for the two new fresh coats of paint!

“We hired Perry-Murphy construction for an extensive job on our house in Newbury, MA. Our 15 x 10ft picture window looking over Plum Island was leaking. We hired Perry-Murphy to replace the rotted wood and windows add beautiful sliding doors to a beautiful new deck! The team (Art, Sean, and Andre, specifically) were wonderful in working with us as we picked out all the elements from windows, to doors, decking, and railing. It was our first big project as new homeowners and we were so grateful for their patience and feedback in working with us on our design. It was a pleasure having the guys here working. They were wonderful, respectful, and responsive. Their work is BEAUTIFUL! Trek decking, cable railing, with a drink rail, a small landing to connect to our screened in porch, and steps down to the hard. We would recommend Art-Murphy again and again!“

“Lisa and Derek are great to work with. They helped us build a wonderful detached in-law accessory dwelling unit (ADU) that is so aesthetically matched you’d think it was original! As for other considerations:

• Design: we worked with them and their recommended architect from conception to completion. They thoroughly maintained the vision we initially had in mind, matched custom level details (like window trim, flooring, and colors), and were very receptive of questions, comments, or concerns with anything along the way. Their team helped to provide recommendations when we were clueless, and receptive to details or change requests.
• Knowledge: while they work with several internal and external contractors, their industry knowledge is fantastic (especially their electrician). I had concerns about recent changes to electrical or building codes and they were very well aware and on top of them from as recent as 6 months prior. If they’re doing work, they’re doing it correct the first time. If I had recommendations that made sense to me, Derek was easily able to explain if it was a sound call or if there was a potential issue with it. And all conversations were professional and well-detailed so I knew exactly what and why.
• Availability: whether text, phone, or email, Derek, Lisa, and team were VERY responsive to us. If there was an issue they were over in as little as an hour or two in order to address it. Their attention to customer care was always forefront.
• Timeline: this is probably true with any company in construction, but we ran a few months behind schedule from the proposal (it was literally a new house build from foundation up). It delayed some things on our end from happening, but it was still completed and we are satisfied with the results.
• Cost: we had expectations of quite a bit less than the quoted amount, but based on fixed cost contracts we felt it was a safer alternative than time and materials which could have ballooned to much more based on the longer timeline we ended up with. We had friends that ended up paying about 80% more based on time and materials with other contractors. Our expectations were also based on early-pandemic pricing and “additions”, not ground-up builds. Pricing has gone up quite a bit in materials alone in the last 5 years, regardless of contractors. All in all we were so comfortable with the quality, reputation, and local aspect that the cost just made sense in the end.
In the end, we would HIGHLY recommend them, without hesitation, and are definitely considering them for future renovation work in our main residence.“

“Williams Construction Services did a large project for us: finishing an attic space, a full bathroom remodel, replacement of cabinetry in another bathroom, and adding a mudroom space. Ed gave us a thoughtful quotation, outlining all the work that was included. He organized all the trades, all the inspections, and completed a complex job in a reasonable amount of time without being intrusive. His team were all polite and cleaned up every day. His recommended solutions were excellent. Ben is meticulous and did excellent work with the carpentry and the cabinet installations. Everything came out great. Libby is a fantastic manager, and was very responsive. As the work progressed, there were inevitable changes, and she was very professional in handling change orders. We are so pleased with the work they did, it is of the highest quality. We highly recommend Williams construction.“

“Our real estate broker in Ipswich recommended O'Neil Fine Builders to us and we're glad she did. James (dad) and Paul (one of the sons) were a pleasure to deal with on our kitchen remodeling and new bathroom projects. They supplied a written offer including allowances for certain materials, hardware, etc , provided written change orders along the way, recommended kitchen and bathroom hardware, stone, etc suppliers, and brought along their electricians, plumbers, HVAC folks for the work. They delivered the kitchen remodeling and construction of a new bathroom on time and on budget, provided regular updates, photos and made themselves available for tours of the construction site when we visited. They also dealt with local permits, inspections, etc. Billing was also expected, one third upfront and the other two thirds upon delivery of certain milestones and completion. Their and their teams work was impeccable (tiling, paint, plumbing, etc) and they finished off by delivering a clean house at the end and removed all construction rubbish. They treated the remainder of our house with respect and delivered top notch work. My wife Robin and I can only wholeheartedly recommend O'Neil Fine Builders for any of your home projects.“
