I was looking for a new hairdresser to change my hair and I found a list of hair places and reviewed each of them by looking at ratings on Google and other sources including ChatGPT. I wanted hairstyling and highlights (mini-foils) that would help blend he gray/white growth as my dark blonde/light brown hair (main color) grew out. I also wanted a more feminine look by letting my hair grow out some. Effie listened and did the main color a little lighter than what I had been using. Got my hair cut & colored and love it SO much!! I talked about what I liked and didn’t like and what I was picturing for my hair color and Effie helped me pick what was right for my skin tone, etc. (: Also recently did a cut and my hair felt so much healthier and fresh afterwards. My hair is naturally almost black + used to be pretty damaged from bleaching blonde in the past. Now I love my hair and got some tips on how to style it too! ?
The salon is decorated really cute and has a very cozy vibe! Parking was really easy to grab too which is nice vs. salons in Boston. 10/10 super recommend Effie and the Just Be Beauty Room!!
If I could give Effie more than 5 stars, I would! My beauty journey with Effie started at the tail end of the COVID pandemic, after months of coloring my own hair (badly) in an "interesting" shade of red/auburn. She was so lovely and welcoming, truly listened to me, and immediately suggested shifting to a "chocolate with caramel highlights" look, which sounded not only delicious but beautiful. Though it would take a long time to finally eradicate the red, the immediate result was striking and my hair felt healthy and looked super shiny.
