We had a very big job (tree removal, landscape design and installation, patio extension, built in grill/bar area, sod installation, irrigation) and they did an amazing job. We have a sinkhole that needed constant back-fill with compost over the years. Eventually, a tree grew in the middle of that patch. It seemed unusual; not similar to other trees in our yard, and growing very quickly. Dave identified the tree as a catalpa, which would pose a longer-term nuisance. He recommended removal so as to ensure the integrity of our property. Given its rate of growth, that recommendation came just in time. Dave has a wealth of knowledge and expertise that would benefit any homeowner.
I've used TJ Collins for lawn mowing, mulching, spring clean-up, and fall clean-ups for the last three seasons as well as several other ad hoc landscaping projects. They have done an amazing job! TJ and Alison are both easy and pleasant to work with. Their crew comes on the same day each week and around the same time unless it is raining. Their crew does a great job every time they've come and have gone above and beyond what I expected. For example, without me asking, their crew spread high-quality seed and topsoil on a part of my lawn that was bare. That part of the lawn has since come back and looks great. I used a different service before switching to TJ Collins and while TJ Collins is more expensive, it has been with the added expense. You won't be disappointed if you choose them for your lawn care and landscaping needs.

I have been getting my hair done with Sarah for over 20 years. I met her in high school and have stuck with her throughout the years as I cannot imagine letting someone else touch my hair. I will never forget the day I brought in photos of two video game characters and asked her if she could combine them. We had a good laugh and she executed it perfectly, so much so that it's the same haircut I get today. I went from hair down to my butt to a short asymmetrical bob. I've been going to Priscilla, the owner, for 14 years, since I moved to the Needham area. Prior to that time, I always had trouble managing my hair. One side would always "whip" out in the wrong direction. Priscilla gives me such a good cut that styling takes almost no time, with no more misbehaving hair. After wearing a bob of various lengths, I ventured to a shorter, layered cut which I love. Beth has done my hair on a couple of occasions when Priscilla was unavailable, and I've always been pleased. Elza is not only a magician with hair, but she's a great listener, too! Going to get my hair done is an amazing experience again, and not something I dread will take a wrong turn. Her angles are all right! My hair is healthy and exactly styled the way I like. My hair can be wavy/ curly and coarse depending on how it's managed, so if you are a curly girl, give Elza a try!
When I moved in with my fiancee three years ago, I needed to find new/local alternatives for many things, including a barber. After several failed attempts to find something that satisfied me, my fiancee suggested I come with her to her hair salon. I'm glad I did. She's been going to Salon Di Carlo for years. She observed that besides many female clients, the lone male hairdresser, Rick, had many male customers, too. I've been getting haircuts from Rick at Salon Di Carlo for 3+ years. He's a great conversationalist and, more importantly, gives me an excellent haircut every time. I have fine hair and a goatee. Over the years, I've heard, "Giving you a good haircut is tricky," numerous times. And I've had many bad haircuts as a result. Not so with Rick. He's a real pro. Salon Di Carlo is conveniently located in downtown Needham and has ample parking. The place is clean and neat, and all the employees I've encountered are great. Is it more expensive to get a men's haircut at a salon? Sure. But it's worth it when you get a great cut every time and like the person doing it.
Her studio is clean, beautiful, and relaxing! Great experience; and she has the cutest sweetest dog ever!
I would give Sculpture (and Jenna specifically) 10 stars if I could! I have been going to this salon for nearly 15 years and refuse to go anywhere else for my hair. It's a warm and welcoming environment, the hairdressers listen to your wants/needs, and are extremely thoughtful in how they tend to their customers. I go here for cuts, coloring, and even styling! Can't recommend them enough!!!

Had a major fail with a cracked main waste pipe (iron) from a 2nd floor bathroom. Called Needham Plumbing and Heating, Zack came, took a hard look at the situation and signed on for the repair! This was no easy fix, it involved cutting through the cast iron pipe and removing sections. All was encased behind a two story closed-in plumbing chase. He arranged for demo help as we had to remove the ceiling in a downstairs half bath. He upgraded the connections to the tub, re-set a toilet and made sure that everything was tight with no leaks! This was beyond exceptional work, done quickly with good communication and the repair will last another lifetime. Highest recommendation.
Oh boy. Rust. What a man. He (and son, Brandon,) has been our go-to since moving to Mass. in 2013. Working with Narrow Lane has been absolutely amazing! From the inception of the project Jeremy, project designer and manager was outstanding! Jeremy was able to create a landscape design which embraced the natural elements of our property with an incredible boulder wall and dry creek, as well as redevelop the landscaping in front of our home completely. With stone paths and new steps approaching our large outdoor patio. Jeremy's team worked with precision and artistry in every boulder's placement. My husband and I joke about our initial call to Jeremy primarily to discuss both irrigation and landscape lighting, but we found Jeremy's expertise so superb that we contracted with him and Narrow Lane to reconstruct and renovate our entire property front and back! We look forward to Jeremy's return in the spring of 2026 for completion of our outdoor greenspace/plantings.

Nate Tiplady and his soft tissue work has been a huge help with chronic hip pain I’ve been having. He’s very knowledgeable - been able to pinpoint and work on muscle tension that’s been causing me trouble that hadn’t been apparent before I started working with him.

She's knowledgeable, put my babies at ease from the moment she met them, and has shared her wisdom with compassion and not an ounce of judgment. I found this place because I had been going to the same Brookline vet group for 17 years and it has steadily been going downhill but I was loyal and don’t like change. When my dog became really sick - I had to find a place that was organized, calm & competent to try and save my dogs life. Ultimately, lily passed away but the wonderful care she received & the kindness that was shown to me was like night and day compared to my previous vet. I can’t believe I waited so long to switch to a different vet / practice. Thank you chestnut hill for doing everything you could for Lilly & I. The receptionist/administrator, vet techs & veterinarians were so nice to us during a very sad and stressful time.
I chose the Lomi lomi massage as it was a new type of massage to me and I was drawn to the fact that it is a mind/body massage, focusing on your body’s entire energy and connection rather than a deep tissue massage.
Edward has set up his website and scheduling process so that new clients get as much detailed information on what a lomi lomi massage is and how it is a different experience than other types of massages. I was impressed by the amount of time he spent ensuring that this was the right type of massage for me. He’s a great listener as well.
As for the massage, it was amazing; it felt like a cross between hula dance and the being among the waves of the ocean. I was able to quiet my mind and my body felt rebalanced afterwards. Even a day later, my body feels less tense and there's a sense of lightness to my muscles (less tension in areas like my neck). I'm already looking forward to my next massage.
I have been working with Russell now for a couple of months. He is superb in diagnosing and working on my aging body to both improve flexibility and reduce aches. I’m able to move faster on the tennis court and recovery time has also reduced. Highly recommend him for both everyday issues and to enhance performance.

For many years I have dealt with severe knots in my upper back along with neck and lower back issues. I had shoulder surgery after which the back issues were amplified significantly. As a golfer, this was problematic for me! Nothing I tried worked, including PT, so I decided to try massage therapy which I had never done before. I went to Karen White at B in Touch, and within 8 weeks all of the knots in my upper back were completely gone! It’s now been 18 months, and I continue to see Karen every other week – the result I now have no back/neck issues at all anymore – they are all 100% gone. Karen listens to you and then goes to work to help you – she is a real professional and is very nice to work with.

It gives me great pleasure to post this review. Needham Physical Therapy (NPT) has been a great resource for me for more than a year. They are an excellent place for physical therapy providing the needed exercises in a very friendly environment. You become the center of attention as soon as you walk in. You are welcomed by name by Elaine, always with a smile, and someone comes over right away with a heat pad or icy wrap depending on what you need.
I started using NPT in March 2023 to treat pain from a torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder. Ryan Hicks started working with me as the physical therapist. He has done an amazing job of helping me to recover. My choice last year was to go for shoulder surgery or try to treat my pain through exercises to strengthen my shoulder. Ryan was of major help in my decision to avoid surgery. I am now able to do most daily tasks with my right shoulder without having gone for surgery. Although I still have some pain in my shoulder from time to time, I am convinced that, in my case, avoiding surgery was the right thing.
After recovery from shoulder pain, I went to NPT to treat pain in my knees. Again I started working with Ryan Hicks. He was of great help, before and after the left knee replacement surgery. While I still have some pain in my knees, I am now able to do outdoor walks of about two miles.
In addition to Ryan Hicks, I received physical therapy from Andrea Kelly and many therapy assistants including Ian and Emma. They have a wonderful team and a very friendly and uplifting environment. Michael Kane, the owner of NPT, has done an amazing job of building a great team. He finds the right people and given them an environment to grow and be responsive to what the patients need. There was always someone around to help whenever I needed something.
I highly recommend NPT. I will certainly go back to NPT whenever I need some physical therapy.
Kara is the best of the best. Always on time and has an amazing attention to every detail. I’m pleased with my progress and always feel like Kara is pushing me to realistic limits in the recovery process.
