My husband was a patient of Dr. Criss for many years for a tricuspid valve condition diagnosed over 15 years ago. The plan was to monitor it with annual echocardiograms, and we were repeatedly told that if the measurements didn’t change, surgery would likely never be needed.

Over time, my husband’s symptoms worsened—he frequently described a heavy pressure on his chest and significant fatigue. He eventually had to stop activities he loved, including hockey and golf. Despite these ongoing symptoms in his mid-40s, his concerns were attributed to asthma and age, and no additional cardiac testing beyond routine echos was pursued.

I apologized that got there 10 mins late, the check in lady said the doctor was already seeing someone else, so she asked us to wait in the waiting area. After 20mins, they came back saying they had to reschedule me because according to their Late policy if a patient is 10 mins late they have to reschedule. Yes, we were 10 mins late and the doctor was already seeing somebody else. And she said she checked the clock we were 11 mins late?. Either they scheduled someone 10 mins after my appointment which professional hospital or clinic will not make a mistake like this or they were lying to me as a patient.

This office used to be great. Now no one answers the phone. I left a message an no one returned my call. I have been going to Melrose internal medicine for 35 years. Time to find a new doctor!
