If there was a rating for 10 stars, White's surely deserves it. My interaction with Tom started in March 2019, when we lost our heating system. We called several plumbers and most did not call back. Tom did call back and unfortunately, he was extremely busy and could not come out, but he did refer us to someone that could, and did come out and do a temporary repair to get us through the cold weather and the process to figure out financing. In the meantime, we got some extremely high estimates from some companies that are well known and highly advertised. I called White’s recently to replace a leaking 3 foot section of cast iron sewer line.
After calling 6 other local plumbers, White’s was the only one able to stop by the day the leak started, temporarily repair it, and come back the next day to complete the job. They were decent, courteous, neat, and fast.
However, they charged $2400 in labor for a repair that took 4 hours and about $50 in parts. I expected to pay more for an emergency repair, but not to be taken.
If you are willing to pay a premium, White’s will do an excellent job. However, if you can, I’d recommend shopping around.

For my entire life my dad was a plumber/heating contractor so we never had to think about who to call. Dad is now in his 90's so when my tenants furnace stopped working in January we were in a panic because we needed to have it replaced ASAP. I found White's Plumbing & Heating in Medford and called them. It was a great choice. They came out the next morning to give us a price and work started almost immediately. We had to have an abatement company remove the furnace due to asbestos and.our chimney relined and White's took care of all those arrangements as well. We are very pleased with the service, and they were very reasonably priced. They are now our go to plumbing and heating company.
