About Forest Dale Cemetery
Forest Dale Cemetery is a powerful cemetery that never disappoints. It is a safe place for a walk, becoming a cesspool for beautiful photos in the fall. Visitors see crazy things, from koi fish to birds fighting. Newly planted trees are nice and navigation is much easier with clear maps and signs. Some note that animal control policies should be implemented for stray dogs. The Tamasi Haskell tomb with its breathtaking glass rose window is a notable feature.
What can I say about this place? I visit all the time for a safe walk when I don't want to go to the woods by myself. It's nice. Sometimes you see the infamous koi fish (silly as it sounds I believe they are lucky). Sometimes you see an egret fighting a hawk in mid air, other times you just see some crazy things you don't normally see every day. In the fall, this place becomes a cesspool for beautiful photos. This powerful cemetery never disappoints. Be sure to find the Tamasi Haskell tomb because the glass rose window piece is breathtaking.
About 2 years back they put some real money and time in Forest Dale cemetery... it's much easier to navigate with each section clearly identified to the new corresponding mapping. There's a easy to understand sign with the map to your left as you pull In ...There's usually a weather proof box with smaller maps to take if needed it's attached to the big map sigh post
This place is magical in many ways, it holds a special place in my heart from where I was a child running around the pond to now where I am visiting lost friends and family. I am there almost everyday and you start to realize how beautiful life can be even when you pass on and new beginnings start. This world is only a physical state, are soul go way beyond and are all one. At least that's what I believe. I hope you enjoy Forest Dale Cemetery as much as I do.
