I came in after a truly awful haircut elsewhere, feeling pretty discouraged, and she listened carefully and empathetically as I explained what had happened. She then helped turn my mood around by steering the conversation towards uplifting topics.

Izzie was very clear about what was realistic, and she kept me informed every step of the way. She also did a great job cutting and styling my curly hair, which not everyone knows how to handle well. The end result is exactly what I needed.

When you enter the building it’s such a warm setting, you instantly get removed from stress with the beautiful decor, and calming music. Issac was cleaning down from the previous person which is a huge peace of mind for me. I absolutely love Aveda products that were used and there’s plenty of options to buy them behind the front counter. I got the Himalayan salt stone treatment and it was my first time. “TLDR: Quick and convenient scheduling by phone (accommodating of unique needs/preferences with same-day/next-day bookings often available); Incredibly homey and thoughtfully crafted atmosphere upon entry; Highly consistent services that feel as luxurious and as professional as spas asking for more than double, at some hotels even triple the price; Consistently warm and friendly staff; Easy to fit into spontaneous plans.

For anyone visiting from out of town: Sway is easily accessible via public transport (both bus and train; Kenmore stop) and is within walking distance of many hotels. Staff have been consistently warm and notably welcoming to first-time visitors based on my initial experience, observations and conversations overheard while in the waiting room.

Sway has become a part of my self-care routine/rotation (so much so that I picked up a small part-time gig exclusively to fund my spa days). They make me feel like family while there, and their services have consistently left me feeling so relaxed just the thought of an upcoming appointment has become soothing. Based on observation, it seems you cannot go wrong with any of their staff. Based on experience, I highly recommend asking for Lucy, Sheli, and/or Sarah, and asking about integrating aromatherapy when you get there“
