“I’m sharing this so that I can tell you about how wonderful A Pets Life South Shore is.

We started taking our almost 6 month puppy there in March after having a frustrating experience in another. Tobin is an Australian Shepherd/Lab Mix that we rescued from Scituate animal shelter. He’s also deaf.

This means that he can’t respond to verbal cues, and he also cannot take cues from other dogs when he plays too rough which is how dogs usually learn from each ñother.

He has been going to training since the day he came home to us. He is an exceptionally smart dog and really eager to learn and please.

At the previous Day Care, we were going to we found that every day we would pick him up a different staff would tell us something different about Tobin. It became really frustrating because we didn’t know what we should be working on with him and had hoped that they would be working with him a little bit too based on how they present themselves.

When I had finally had enough, I reached out to Colleen at A Pets Life. I brought Tobin in to meet her and some of her team and I can say for Tobin, it was love at first sight. He absolutely loves his days there and comes home happy and exhausted. Every time we pick him up, we can see how much they care about him and how well he is treated. He just spent the first two nights outside of our home using their boarding and he really enjoyed himself. “My dogs look beautiful and bright leaving the grooming salon, and I really can appreciate the one-on-one care they provide. My Doberman was timid and they handled her with great care, she left tail nub wagging. Dogs are in and out for their appointment not sitting in a kennel for hours, great for those with busy schedules who can’t wait hours and hours to pick up their dogs.“

“Julie was great with my long haired cat, his brush out and nail clip went quick and smooth and caused no stress at all to my cat. The shop was very cute, I like how she sells inexpensive cat toys for a little treat after their appointment!“

“They are so great! My pup is a handful and goes there weekly while we are in the office and to get his energy out and they do such an amazing job working on socializing him, enrichment and training and so much fun/play.
Unlike other places my pup runs in there and isn’t trying to escape when I pick him up, he loves it there.
Best yet they give a report card and photos so you can see how much fun your pup is having.“

“Great place , Great Service, the one thing I can say is when we got a dog back there were maybe 6 , 7 or 8 spots that were sticking out pretty heavily where it was longer than the rest of the dog's hair. This is my first time getting a 20 l yes good“

“We love Hometown. We recently went away for the first time in o er 10 years. We stayed 6 nights. As parents if now 2 dogs of course we were nervous leaving them for thst long. Both of them attend daycare there as well. They sent us pictures and texted us to make sure we knew how they were. Yup they were having a blast!!!! The owner, manager and all the staff there are the best. To know your pets are safe and happy as well as extremely loved is hard to come by but Hometown has it all. Thankyou all so much,

One of our pups is a bit aggressive and we were nervous that he wouldn't be able to join, but thanks to their patience and knowledgeable staff he fit right in. I got adorable pictures sent to me throughout the day. My pups would always come home tired, and mornings I would tell them it's a "Waggeyland Day" and they would get soo excited and sit by the door, waiting to be picked up. I wish I could still use their service but I moved away!“
