“We hired Colonial Carpentry Innovations INC (CCI) for a 400 square foot home addition and bathroom remodel project. They did an excellent job on this complicated project. We are extremely happy with the outcome.

Permitting was a particular challenge in this case since we are near water and a full environmental study had to take place. CCI did an excellent job managing that process and getting the permit efficiently. They worked well with the building inspector and the town, pulling off the whole job without any legal hitches.

Their work was on time and reasonably close to budget. They were also exceptionally thoughtful about disruptions to the house; they kept things clean and protected, and left the site in pristine condition. They also paid close attention to our daughter’s needs, who was living in the house while the work was completed.

CCI took special care to make sure the addition fit in with the original house both in regards to planning and execution. They went to great lengths to match the cedar shakes on the existing house, lining up new rows exactly in line with the existing. Seams inside the house are also smooth. The floor transition is level; the wall is smooth from new to old. Overall the addition fits the house excellently.

The new space that was created is a perfect fit for our needs for the house and shows that this project was both well conceived and well executed. We are extremely appreciative of CCI’s work and recommend them for projects of this nature.“
