About Colonial Carpentry Innovations Inc
Colonial Carpentry Innovations Inc. is a trusted and experienced contractor that values the importance of home as a major investment. They take pride in helping clients make decisions that protect and enhance the long-term value of their homes. The company believes in getting to know their customers well to understand their wants and needs, and they carefully research products to educate clients about their options. The team at Colonial Carpentry Innovations has successfully completed a variety of projects, including home additions, bathroom remodels, and historic home renovations. They handle complex projects with skill and attention to detail. For example, they managed a 400-square-foot addition near water, navigating environmental studies and permitting smoothly, working well with inspectors and the town. Their work was completed on time and within a reasonable budget, with special care taken to minimize disruption, keep the worksite clean, and protect the home. They paid close attention to matching the new addition seamlessly with the original house, such as aligning cedar shakes and ensuring smooth transitions inside. In a historic farmhouse renovation, Colonial Carpentry Innovations demonstrated their expertise in preserving the character of older homes. They collaborated with clients and architects to incorporate modern amenities while maintaining historic features like a tin ceiling and soapstone sink. The project involved carefully salvaging and repurposing original wood, including chestnut planks used for custom shelving, a vent hood, and a large island countertop. The team managed phased renovations to allow most of the house to remain functional during construction, even with major demolition work like removing chimneys and old siding. They worked diligently to address issues that arose, always keeping clients informed and involved. The completed project resulted in a beautiful, energy-efficient home that respects its 200-year history. Another example of their quality work includes installing new windows that significantly increased natural light and improved the home's appearance. The crew is described as helpful, careful, detail-oriented, and professional, with a good sense of humor, making the renovation process smooth and enjoyable. Overall, Colonial Carpentry Innovations Inc. is recognized for their craftsmanship, professionalism, clear communication, and ability to handle projects of varying complexity. They prioritize understanding their clients’ needs, offering expert advice, and executing projects with care and precision. Their work consistently results in beautiful, functional, and well-crafted spaces that meet and often exceed client expectations.
Of the many projects we’ve done with Bob and CCI, this was by far the largest and most complicated to date. The project was an ADU above our garage for a family member.
Aside from the quality workmanship we have come to expect from Bob and his team, they got us through all the codes, rules, and regulations required to complete our project. We are very grateful for their work and the opportunity to work with them again. Thank you!
Bob and his team at Colonial Carpentry did incredible, high-quality work on our home that will last decades. It all looks gorgeous, and hiring them to remodel our house was the best decision we ever made! Bob was the only contractor who believed in us and our idea (to take down a load-bearing wall between the kitchen and living room). All the other contractors said it was too much work, it wasn't worth it, they didn't want to do it. They also revamped our full and half bath, finding a way to make both work in...read full review
Colonial Carpentry did a kitchen and bathroom remodel last year. When our dryer vent became disconnected due to being jarred loose, it only took one call to Bob and his team. They immediately scheduled a time to come back to our house and made the repair even better than the connection was before. Bob Szklarz and his team truly stand behind the work they do, and they go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. We are proud to show the work that Colonial Carpentry did for us, and this was just another example of how outstanding their customer service is.
