“Highly recommend Phil at the Concord location! Two of our family members saw Phil after hip replacement surgery, rotator cuff issues, and meniscus tear surgery. Phil is knowledgeable, super pleasant to work with and always prepared. He started each session by assessing our progress and how the injury felt that day. He adjusted based on us as individuals, not by jumping straight into standard exercises. PT isn’t our favorite thing, but Phil always made the sessions enjoyable and challenging. Many of the exercises were done in a private room, which we appreciated greatly. The facility was great.

Of course we can’t say great things about JVPT without mentioning Vincent, Virtual Care Coordinator Manager extraordinaire! Vincent was amazing - quick to respond to emails and helpful with our frequent scheduling issues. He’s patient and super friendly. It was a great experience communicating with him. We’ve used several PT clinics around Boston. Without a doubt Phil and Vincent are the best!“

“Amanda has been absolutely fantastic in helping me rehab from a brutally broken and dislocated ankle. Unlike some other PTs I have dealt with, Amanda does not use a playbook approach. She evaluated my condition, talked with me about my pain and work tolerances and my near term ambitions, and crafted an approach tailored to me. She adjusts that approach at each appointment, ensuring that I continue to make progress. She clearly knows her stuff, and regularly offers suggestions and gentle pushes that move my recovery forward. I’m currently biking and jogging way ahead of the timeline I thought I was dealing with, and expect to be running for real in short order. I wish there were more than five stars available.“

“Marci has been amazing to work with! I was having severe nerve pain with pregnancy and both my PCP and OB were not very hopeful that PT would offer much help, but suggested I try anyways. Marci pinpointed the issue quickly and within just a few sessions I already had so much relief and return to function. I was initially hoping to just keep the symptoms from getting worse as my pregnancy progressed, but I've been almost symptom free now since just a few weeks after starting PT. Everyone at the office has been very welcoming and easy to work with during every appointment. Thank you!“

Holistic Physical Therapy & Pilates Physical Therapy

“I have had chronic lower backpain for 4 years and I came to Olga after 3 mildly successful attempts at physical therapy. I do not have a herniated disk or major back injury, however, my backpain has been extremely debilitating these last few years. Anyone with chronic pain can empathize the psychological torture that it can exert on a person. I have heard from others that if performed cautiously, Pilates can be a gentle and sustainable method to improve chronic back pain and was hoping to dip my toes into this form of exercise. Starting off with a more physical therapy mindset and hopefully moving on to group classes to continue my recovery.

When I came to Olga, my back hurt 24 hours a day to varying degrees but maybe a 7 on the pain scale. It was hard to tie my shoes. I elected for the 6 session PT package and went once a week for 6 weeks. This was my best experience with PT. It is a one-on-one session with Olga who really took the time to monitor my progress and performed constant analysis of muscle activation, posture and range of motion.

The sessions with Olga exclusively one-on-one with her and were often posture muscle activation and healthy movement based. It included some exercises that you can do at home with only a floor and a wall, but a lot was done on the pilates reformer, spring bands and chair. This met my goal of using this as a gentle introduction to pilates to see if this form of exercise was right for me. We also finished each session with either laser therapy or shockwave therapy at no additional charge.

At previous PTs, you speak with the PT on the first day and they make a regiment for you and largely pass you off to PTs-in-training who walk you through the exercises in the following sessions. It can feel very rushed and impersonal. Almost like they could have just sent you an email for your exercises for the week and then charge you a great sum of money.

This was a very personalized and patient focused experience without it being a crowded room of patients being juggled between employees in a profit focused larger PT company. It was more expensive than my previous PT experiences but I feel was a much greater value. After 4 years of back pain I was happy to pay a little more for an improved chance at recovery.

I can happily say that my backpain has made great progress in only 6 weeks. I feel some improved strength and changes in how my core, glutes and hips activate in my daily life. Most days I get significant chunks of the day where I am completely pain free. I will give myself credit that I was very good at completing the "homework" that Olga gave me each week. Just showing up to the classes with Olga is only a small part of the recovery process, you have to take the exercises you learn home and perform them on your own but most importantly, take the healthy movement patterns and muscle activation that these exercises teach you to your day-to-day life.

I still have backpain. If I sit down too long it hurts. If I do a lot of lifting/bending it hurts. Even after I do my PT exercises it sometimes hurts. It took a long time to get sick and it will take a long time to get better. I am still extremely happy with the progress that I have made in these 6 weeks.

After discussion with Olga, we both think I am ready to try the classes at Holistic PT and Pilates with Evellin. I feel doing it at Holistic PT and Pilates is a wise decision as Evellin understands that many of her clients come from a PT focused perspective and may not be ready for high intensity Pilates workout.

I'm excited to start these classes with Evellin and and optimistic and hopeful that my backpain is finally on the path to a full recovery.

“Kristen did an incredible job of helping me understand what areas needed work and how best to improve it. No pushiness at all with respect to any aspect, I was able to talk about any concerns or thoughts I had on the program we put together. Was money well spent - I initially thought I can figure this stuff out on my own, but I realized the level of guidance and expertise even in just one session is worth it.“

“Dave Balogh at Train Boston exemplifies the best of physical therapy. He is dedicated to the rehabilitation and enhancement of movement and overall quality of life. His approach to care is comprehensive and patient-centered, addressing my issues from ankle injuries to rotator cuff concerns with expertise. Dave's dedication to his patients is evident in the way he tailors manipulation techniques and exercises to each individual's needs, fostering not only physical healing but also confidence in the ability to move and live actively. His ability to improve mobility in my foot and ankle and address my tight calves and IT band demonstrates a deep understanding of the body's mechanics and the interconnectedness of its parts. With hands-on manipulation and a carefully selected exercise regimen, Dave has made significant progress in treating my long term and rather complex issues, reflecting his commitment to his patients' recovery. Dave's caring nature and pleasant demeanor contribute to a healing environment where I felt supported and motivated. His excellence in physical therapy goes beyond technical skill; it's his genuine concern for his patients' well-being that truly sets him apart as a superb therapist. In a world where healthcare can often feel impersonal, Dave stands out as a physical therapist who not only heals but also heartens, making each step of the recovery journey a positive experience. I would highly recommend Dave Balogh for anyone in need of physical therapy. His ability to connect with patients, understand their concerns, and work diligently towards recovery is truly commendable. Dave's dedication to his craft and his patients makes him a standout therapist who not only meets but exceeds expectations. His positive impact on my recovery journey is a testament to his skill and caring nature, making him an invaluable asset to the Train Boston team and to all those he assists.“

“My daughter has been seeing Madeleine for hip and back problems over the past couple of years, and we have been thrilled with both the PT treatment and the progress made. When Madeleine isn’t available, we schedule with another physical therapist, and they all seem to be equally smart, creative, patient, and just wonderful overall. “I had a great experience here. I came in with the usual assortment of age 60+ woes -- lower back and ab soreness that wouldn't go away. They gave me a set of targeted exercises that I could do at home with what I had there and I'm quite happy with them. I worked with 3 different PTs during my various sessions and all were great. I hope I don't have to return but if I needed PT again, I definitely would. Thanks everyone.“
