The gentleman at this shop did an amazing job on my husband's grandfather's shoes for his 30th bday. The owner was so nice (so was his wife) and flexible with pick up time. My husband was very surprised and happy. The owner kept the parts of the shoes that were sentimental while also making sure these will last for the long haul. Also when you walk into the store it's exactly what you'd hope for when looking for a cobbler.
Note – cash or personal cheque only!
Owner was friendly and tremendously knowledgeable. I had a backpack whose straps were falling apart, and he fixed 'em right up in a few days. One year later, those straps are still holding strong, and the backpack is able to carry loads more than 5 lbs heavier than when I originally bought it!
He also stocks some leather care products in store, and his prices are quite reasonable. Highly recommend for any leather/shoe/backpack care.
I met Bob when I stopped into his shop because I needed new soles while I was in Concord.
The quality of his work made me ask about a pet project I had, a belt that needed a new piece of leather, and had 35 years of history. I had been to a number of shoe repair shops, and called several more. Bob looked at a picture, and said bring it in.
I drove 2 hours up to go back, waited a few hours, and had a 2 hour drive home. He is a craftsman who takes pride in his work, and knows how to do it right.
I will make that drive every time I need something repaired.
