“I have been seeing Dr Sobell for many years. Typically I see him for a skin check but as time has gone by I've seen him for more complicated issues such as melasma and potential skin cancer. He has always been incredibly pleasant, thorough and patient. He has a wonderful bedside manner and I feel seen and heard under his care. I had a suspicious mole on my face and the nurse squeezed me in just to have him review it. The office is always busy and it can be confusing to find the right office, there are several offices in the same bldg but I have no complaints. The staff has always been kind and respectful.“

“Kate Saragosa and her nurse are pretty much my favorite medical team ever! Kate has such an upbeat personality that is more infectious than ring worm!! She is clearly so knowledgeable and takes the time to answer all my questions, even silly ones, and explains each treatment and condition to me. Cant recommend enough.“

“Our second baby was born with a weird rash and was referred to this practice by our birthing hospital. We were nervous at first and worried about co-morbidities that sometimes occur with this rash. Dr. Burnett was very thorough, patient, and answered all of our questions and was awesome with our baby. Loved her and this practice so much that my husband and I switched our dermatology care to here. We usually see her colleague, Dr. Lunder, who is also amazing and takes time to address and answer any of our concerns. All other staff are also very warm and friendly. You’re in good hands here!“

“Jake was soo helpful for my skin journey! He was attentive and listened to me explaining my skin issues. He gave me multiple topical options and followed up well with how the treatments were working for me. Everything he suggested medication and lifestyle wise has worked so well for me! He also helped me understand the process of what was going on with my skin and other ways to heal it beneath the surface which is super helpful for preventing flare ups. “I’m updating my review since the director of this office reached out to me & really went the extra mile to rectify the situation. My daughter was seen quickly & the clinical staff was great. I appreciate them taking the time to fix the initial problems we encountered and not making any excuses for what had previously happened. The doctors and upper management seem excellent. The location is also pretty good if you live in the city.

Previous review: The front desk to this office is horrible! My PCP recommended a doctor at this practice. I asked them if they could see my 19 month old daughter as well & was able to make an appointment. We have an HMO which requires a referral. Our pediatrician's office as well as our insurance plan said we were all set with our referral for our daughter but this practice kept saying they needed an authorization number. I kept going back and forth with this practice and my daughter's pediatrician. The pediatrician's office gave us the authorization dates & let us know that we were all set. But this office kept saying we weren't. They refused to even try to help us. They couldn't call the doctor's office or the insurance because it's something they just didn't do. My pediatrician's office also reached out to them, but that didn't seem to help either. I work in healthcare & I cannot believe how unbelievably unhelpful this front desk has been. This is something that I have been trying to coordinate for more than a month & I cancelled the appointment as I have never experienced a medical provider's office being this terrible.“

“I am shocked by the negative reviews here! I completed my 3rd visit with Newton Wellesley Dermatology yesterday, each with Ms. Marya Woodruff Ochs who I highly recommend. My first visit was for an annual body skin check where a biopsy was performed on a suspicious spot and thankfully negative. The next two visits were for cosmetic purposes, specifically the freezing of sun spots on my face. I returned because I was so very pleased with the dramatic results of the first visit. Not only was I pleased with the expertise of Ms. Ochs, but for the efficiency of this office during each of my three visits! Thank you, staff members, for your highly professional care!“

“I have been coming here for two years to check for skin cancer. I used to tan in tanning beds before I knew the dangers, so I'm very cautious now. The Doctors and Employees are always kind, compassionate, and helpful.“

“Very good practitioners and service. I had a fairly good size basal cell patch on my back and I was very happy to have that removed. Any anxiety I had was calmed due to the professional attitude and services provided.
The only thing is there had been some confusion with the scheduling of my appointment. I had received email for multiple days for the same appointment. The original one never got cancelled so I showed up. It actually turned out to my benefit so no complaints. But I was a bit panicked when I saw I had an appointment at 11am and it was already 10am. I rushed to get there and it turned out that had been rescheduled for the next day. But while I was waiting in the waiting room I had a nice conversation with a man who I ended up giving him a good tip on some home maintenance fix for water leaks! So I think I was supposed to be there at that time anyway! And then they were able to reschedule for that afternoon which was even better for me. So a win win situation!“
