About Far Corner Golf
Far Corner Golf is a popular spot for golf, known for its beautiful course conditions, especially the greens. The Fox/Heron 18 hole combo offers a fun and rewarding challenge, with the course rewarding players who stay in the fairway and avoid the many trees lining the holes. The greens are often multi-tiered, and the best strategy is to be below the hole. Customer service is exceptional, with the Pro Shop quickly returning lost items and staff being friendly and attentive. The course is well-groomed and provides great value, especially considering the $49 walking rate on Fridays in 2024. The grill offers good food options, including a popular chicken salad melt and unsweetened iced tea, making it a nice place to relax after a round. While some areas like the Hawk course may show signs of wear and tear, overall, Far Corner Golf remains a challenging and enjoyable place to play, especially for those who appreciate a course with some tree-lined fairways and scenic views.
This golf course is beautiful, the staff is awesome, and I always look forward to playing here. At the end of last season, right before Winter, I lost my Ray-Ban Meta glasses and didn't even realize where I’d dropped them. When Spring arrived, I couldn't find them in my bag, so I started calling all the courses I had visited. I was so thrilled when the manager at Far Corner told me they had them! I am incredibly thankful for their honesty and integrity in keeping them safe for so many months.
One of my favorite local tracks 💯 27 hole course (Plays like 3, 9 hole tracks. Fox/Heron/Hawk)
Fox/Heron is the original 18, and the more forgiving of the 3. Fox is fairly flat, with some holes slanting left to right (hole #6 I believe). Great par 5 on hole #1 to start with on Fox 💯.
Heron is more hilly, but still manageable, with some left to right plants in the fairways.
Hawk to me, is deffinately the hardest of the 3 💯%. Its super hilly, slants...doesnt get as much water and sun due to it being in the very back of the course. Deffinately the hardest of the 3.
I usually play Fox/Heron and I love it!! I actually broke 85 here, so...read full review
Far Corner is an open but challenging layout with some long par 3s. The greens are in great shape and the fairways are plush. I thoroughly enjoy playing there occasionally. If you want a relaxing round and don’t want to be constantly searching the woods for your ball, this is the place. Friendly staff too.
