About River Marsh Golf Club

River Marsh Golf Club offers a challenging and scenic layout, but faces some maintenance issues. The bunkers are often in poor condition, with some resembling a "parking lot pavement." Weeds are prevalent on the greens and fringe, making putting tricky. Despite these drawbacks, the course is described as "fun" and "excellent." The staff at the bar and restaurant are reported to be very friendly. Overall, River Marsh Golf Club provides an enjoyable golfing experience, though improvements to course maintenance could enhance the experience further.

I booked this course because of the beautiful eastern shore view pictures posted on their website/IG. I was pretty disappointed to find that only one hole (#18) is actually along the water with a picturesque view.

While the course was well-maintained and the pace of play was good, I wouldn’t have driven 2 hours away from home and paid double the price for the same views I couldn’t gotten playing my local course.

The beverage cart girl was super nice. I hope they get her Apple Pay or a card machine soon. I don’t love having my credit card # written down on paper.

Overall, fine course + nice staff. Nothing special, though.

No starter was anywhere to be found, so we just went out whenever we thought we should. The bunkers were unplayable, even with recent rain, they were unkept and like hitting out of the parking lot pavement. Greens and fringe were full of weeds which made putting tricky. Unfortunate that the course was in such bad shape, the layout is nice and challenging. Ladies at the bar/restaurant were very friendly too.

Course is a really fun layout and scenic. However there are some maintenance issues. It hadn’t rained in multiple days yet the bunker on 17(among many others on the course), one of the premier holes on the course was a lake. Many tee boxes were also over run with weeds. This course could be incredible if the weeds across the whole of the course and drainage could be handled.
