I've been seeing Sylvia for a couple of years now and she is the only Boston area stylist that I trust with my hair!! She did my wedding hair and most recently, my braids for labor. My hair is always healthy when I take my braids out. I respect her hugely as a business owner who operates with integrity and respect for all her clients, even while being an excellent mom to her kids and having other big life responsibilities. I'll be going to Treasure as long as it's open!!
I got cornrows the first time I went to Sylvia’s and she did a great job! They were very neat and lasted me a long time. She also checked in with me through out the appointment to make sure my hair looked how I wanted which I greatly appreciated!
I recently got my box braids done in Dorchester at Treasure’s African Hair Braiding, and I must say, it was such a lovely experience! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and clean, and the braiders were very professional and friendly.
Treasure herself was attentive and made sure I got exactly the style I wanted. The braiding was neat, well-sectioned, and not too tight , I must confess it was just the way I like it. I really appreciated how gentle they were with my scalp and how quickly they finished, considering how detailed the braids were.
