A few years ago, I stopped in here with a friend and ended up buying my favorite hanging plant along with a beautiful 3D vase. Julio was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming. We spent time chatting about the area, the community, and even a bit about ourselves, and he genuinely made the experience memorable.
I truly can’t recommend this place enough. Not only is the owner friendly and passionate about what he does, but that hanging plant I bought years ago is still alive and thriving today, which says a lot about the quality of both the plants and the advice I received. I’ll definitely be back again this summer.
Sine they opened, I have loved stopping into this shop to pick out meaningful special gifts for friends and family. The owner has always been so kind and helpful and takes the time to get to know you and help you decide on the perfect gift. Which is rare these days so I’m very thankful for this local shop!
When we first moved to Southie, my 7 year old daughter and her grandmother and I stopped into Microplant studio on a whim. Julio, the owner, went out of his way to talk to my daughter, explain all the different plants, answer her and her grandmother’s many questions and simply introduce us to the kind of wonderful community we began to experience in Southie. We bought beautiful succulents for my husband and every year for Father’s Day our daughter asked to go back to ‘the plant store’ to visit Julio and find a special gift for her daddy.
