I’ve been coming to Anita Kurl since moving to Boston about 5 years ago. Over the years, I’ve seen a few different stylists here and each one has been extremely knowledgeable about my kinky / coarse texture. They all have given me great haircuts that were easy to maintain & style when back home.
But this week marks my 4th haircut by the one, the only Alexa! I am the happiest I’ve ever been walking out of a salon in my life! I got compliments from strangers walking home, from friends the next day & from my sometimes oblivious partner :-) it put such a pep in my step.

Alexa was an amazing stylist to work with, she very knowledgeable and took the time to understand what I was looking for before making any cuts. She did a beautiful job on the cut, and my curls look better than they have in a long time. I went from very damaged, uneven hair to a style I could walk out the door with, so she did an absolutely stellar job. I will definitely be returning and would recommend this shop to all the curly girls out there.
I’ve been going to Anita Kurl for over a year; Kandace & her staff are extremely welcoming and educational. They walk you through their process and products they are using. They help you figure out the best styling for you and any events or vacations you have coming up. They are a very high quality consult / cut and their prices reflect that. In the beginning they start by talking with you and seeing what you want out of your hair, dry cut, wash & style, then another cut to make sure it’s all perfect. They don’t rush and always make you feel great!
