“Everything about Douglass Funeral Home is top notch, from the location in Lexington very close to multiple churches and houses of worship, the facility itself with several well-appointed rooms, the arrangements made, the viewing hours arrangements, and procession to the cemetery.
The funeral home is just across the street from Saint Brigit's Church, and the staff at Douglass Funeral Home coordinated my mother's funeral with the staff at the church extraordinarily well. The staff members are professional, friendly, and helpful.

With just the right amount of sorrow and helpful glee, Carmine was able to console me in an instant. That moment stuck with me for the last 17 years and his same comforting persona shined again, 17 years later, now with his daughter’s support alongside him.

“It seems such a strange thing to make sure to write a review the day after a funeral, but I didn't want to lose any details on just how compassionate and amazing our experience with Brezniak was when we laid my father to rest. Nathan and Elizabeth were over and beyond wonderful, kind, meticulous, and so compassionate during the worst of times for my family.

The main things that are important for others to know are that everything was explained, multiple times if necessary. Everything was documented and itemized. We felt no pressure for anything that wasn't needed but our wants were always placed at the forefront of the plan. We were treated so well and I wish I could do more than a review to show our thanks.

During the course of the service and transfer, the Brezniak team was handling details, directing mourners, providing water, seating, interacting with the cemetery, and entertaining my nephew. Again, I have only the highest praise for Nathan who ensured that my father would receive an honor guard and his full military honors, even though the funeral was the day after Memorial day.

“I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Brown & Hickey Funeral Home. When my father passed away recently I had no idea what to expect, but the professionalism and compassion that Liam and the rest of the staff showed us made a difficult time just a little bit easier.

The first time I met Liam in person was when he came to our home to remove my father’s remains. I didn’t know what to expect but he and his staff treated my father with such dignity. It made me feel better knowing that he was with people who clearly cared about what they were doing.

With Liam’s help we were able to plan the wake and funeral in two days. We were all impressed with the team’s attention to detail and how accommodating they were of our wishes. There were several things we wanted to do ourselves, such as the programs and obituary, and Liam walked us through the whole process and made sure we knew what he needed and when he needed it by.

My sister commented that at the wake Liam and the staff were right there when you needed something but were almost invisible otherwise. They were just working in the background to make sure everything was going smoothly.

My entire family will be forever grateful.
