“I’m updating my review since the director of this office reached out to me & really went the extra mile to rectify the situation. My daughter was seen quickly & the clinical staff was great. I appreciate them taking the time to fix the initial problems we encountered and not making any excuses for what had previously happened. The doctors and upper management seem excellent. The location is also pretty good if you live in the city.

Previous review: The front desk to this office is horrible! My PCP recommended a doctor at this practice. I asked them if they could see my 19 month old daughter as well & was able to make an appointment. We have an HMO which requires a referral. Our pediatrician's office as well as our insurance plan said we were all set with our referral for our daughter but this practice kept saying they needed an authorization number. I kept going back and forth with this practice and my daughter's pediatrician. The pediatrician's office gave us the authorization dates & let us know that we were all set. But this office kept saying we weren't. They refused to even try to help us. They couldn't call the doctor's office or the insurance because it's something they just didn't do. My pediatrician's office also reached out to them, but that didn't seem to help either. I work in healthcare & I cannot believe how unbelievably unhelpful this front desk has been. This is something that I have been trying to coordinate for more than a month & I cancelled the appointment as I have never experienced a medical provider's office being this terrible.“

“I am shocked by the negative reviews here! I completed my 3rd visit with Newton Wellesley Dermatology yesterday, each with Ms. Marya Woodruff Ochs who I highly recommend. My first visit was for an annual body skin check where a biopsy was performed on a suspicious spot and thankfully negative. The next two visits were for cosmetic purposes, specifically the freezing of sun spots on my face. I returned because I was so very pleased with the dramatic results of the first visit. “Jake was soo helpful for my skin journey! He was attentive and listened to me explaining my skin issues. He gave me multiple topical options and followed up well with how the treatments were working for me. Everything he suggested medication and lifestyle wise has worked so well for me! He also helped me understand the process of what was going on with my skin and other ways to heal it beneath the surface which is super helpful for preventing flare ups.
