Gastro Health is a renowned medical practice that provides exceptional gastroenterological care. The facility is spacious and immaculate, with ample parking and a convenient location. Patients have praised the doctors for their fantastic care, with one patient noting that the staff were extremely kind and patient during a nervous first colonoscopy. The practice is home to several highly skilled physicians, including Dr. Bleich and Dr. Decoste, who are known for their great bedside manners and dedication to their patients. Patients have expressed gratitude for the care they receive, with one long-time patient of Dr. Bleich also becoming a patient of Dr. Decoste. Dr. Hyatt is another exceptional doctor at the practice, known for his expertise in helping patients with their medical conditions. His assistant, staff, and infusion nurses are all praised for their excellent care and genuine concern for the well-being of their patients. While there have been some complaints about the office staff and the check-in system, the overall feedback from patients is overwhelmingly positive. The practice is committed to providing the best possible care to its patients, and the team is dedicated to making even the most daunting procedures, such as colonoscopies, as comfortable and routine as possible.
The check-in kiosk system is ridiculous. Elderly patients having to fumble for license and scanning every time they visit (even a few days apart) just to announce they are present (after pre-registering online) while two receptionists are sitting behind the desk. I have never seen this before and hope it’s not a trend. It’s the one reason (so far) that I would consider a different practice!
I just met with Veronica Barboza, one of the Nurse Practioners at GastroHealth in Acton. It was a follow up after my colonoscopy, and it was one of the most detailed follow ups I have ever had. Veronica explained everything to me, drew pictures, walked through all my meds and made many recommendations. She spent a considerable amount of time with me making sure I had all my questions answered. I would highly recommend Veronica, as well as GastroHealth in Acton, MA.
Dr. Bleich is an outstanding provider. She’s kind, attentive, and has a genuinely comforting bedside manner. She takes the time to listen, explains everything clearly, and never makes you feel rushed. She’s understandably hard to book with, as she’s one of the only women providers in the office, but she is absolutely worth the wait.
That said, I am currently waiting two months to be seen by Dr. Bleich, and the challenges I’ve experienced during that wait have been with the front office and scheduling process.
