The Boyd Family Funeral Home handled the arrangements for three of my nearest and dearest loved ones and I have been impressed each time. They are consummate professionals, and also sympathetic and empathetic. Thank you all for all you do for loved ones during times of bereavement.

We entrusted this crematory with one of the most painful moments of our lives, the passing of our father and unfortunately, the experience felt deeply impersonal and transactional.
While the staff initially appeared professional, that quickly faded. The staff member who met with us was a member of the Boyd family herself. The prayer that she recited for our father was rushed to the point that it was difficult to understand and lacked any sense of compassion or meaning. It felt rehearsed and mechanical, rather than something meant to honor a human life.
What was most upsetting, however, was what happened immediately after. In front of our family, the same staff member turned to the receptionist and said, “two appointments down, two to go.” In that moment, our grief and our father, felt reduced to nothing more than a task on a checklist. My dad in that moment was reduced to nothing more than a number.
Families come to places like this in their most vulnerable state. A little empathy and awareness go a long way. Sadly, that was missing here. I would absolutely not recommend this funeral home or cremation service.

The Boyd funeral home was very kind, sweet, understanding, uplifting and patient with me and my family due to the unfortunate and unexpected passing of our father in New Orleans . I really appreciate the care that Ms Juanesha showed to me and my family. She was caring she let me speak and offered her prayers and sincere condolences immediately. The Boyd Family Funeral Home is the place to go in the time of need. The staff is really pleasant Mr. Greg and Ms. Jerease gets my vote they were very helpful. Ms Jerease deserves a raise Mr.Boyd. I speak for the whole Perkins family

I honestly didn’t know where to start after losing someone so important to our family — our matriarch. Boyd Funeral Home handled our matriarch with dignity, care, and so much respect. They were patient with us, answered every question, and never made us feel rushed during such an emotional time.
They made a hard process feel a little more manageable, and for that, I’m truly grateful
