I had a hair emergency, I tried calling all the salons nearest my Airbnb and this was the only one that actually picked up the phone. Tyler helped me and made my hair so beautiful again! I needed a color correction, and it turned out even better than before my little mistake. He was such a sweetheart and really worked a miracle for me, thank you!

Shanna gives THE BEST hair wash with strong fingers and attention to temples and neck. She provides an attentive cut with beautiful styling. I wish she could style me every day. Well worth the time and price.

Memory lane: I was a customer at Mariposa when NY Brenda was in Mid City and sometimes her DC husband manned the reception desk. If I recall correctly, she started at Orleans St then moved by the Rouse's on N Carrollton. Her training of junior stylists is elite. If you're thinking of going to a Dominican salon, skip that assembly line and come here. It's not cheaper here but all stylists at this place are legit, and can cut, dye, blow dry, and smoothen hair efficiently and with care. I've moved away since, and the salon has since moved to the garden district, so every time I visited town I made sure to book myself in Brenda's chair for a blowout.
