Nestled amidst the charm of the historical district, Carla's Musikgarten New Orleans has provided high-quality music classes since 2009. The academy offers group-style curriculum for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, along with piano lessons and fun-filled summer camps. Parents describe the teacher as extremely experienced, kind, loving, and welcoming. She is very accommodating with schedules and makes sure every kid thrives. Her charisma with little ones nurtures them to follow her lead, learning core skill sets while having a ball. Children always leave smiling, ready to share joy. One family attended since their son was 8 months old, and he now adores the classes. The program gives social interaction in a lovely setting with a playground. The continuity builds upon itself each year, with students completing all levels of keyboarding. There is no better program for children ages 0–6. The teacher inspires children to be curious about music, and students grow to be lifelong music lovers. The class is a highlight of every week.
I could say a million good things about Carla and the Musikgarten curriculum. Every week, music is presented to the children as something FUN and exciting. We have been attending classes since 2021 and have loved watching our boys fall in love with music, develop their listening skills, and learn songs that we play and sing at home together as a family.
The community that Carla brings together is worth the drive across the city alone :)

You couldn’t meet a nicer music teacher, and she is very accommodating with schedules. She makes sure every kid thrives in the toddler class, and she’s quite the “celebrity” with small ones. Move over, Ms. Rachel - Ms. Carla is the best!
We love Ms.Carla and the Musikgarten program! The group-style curriculum makes it fun for kids to start playing piano, and Ms. Carla is amazing with children. My daughter began with Ms. Carla when she was 3 and completed all the levels of keyboarding. We appreciate the continuity of the program throughout the levels and how it builds upon itself each year.
