Great dojo and excellent instructors. I did Shotokan karate for several years in my early 20s and I'm back at it after more than 30 years have passed. I am starting over and really enjoy it. I'm definitely not as fit or flexible now but the instructors and students have been welcoming, kind, patient, and positive. They will definitely push you to do your best and to train hard. That is what you want. This is the real deal and a gem of a dojo. Highly recommended.
I was there in training. I went to New Orleans to visit a relative and then I looked for a place where I could train and share a little karate-do, since I have been practicing it since I was a child, for 43 years. I liked everything, the welcome of the group, the simplicity of the people, the clarity in the explanation of techniques by the sempai. A great place to train traditional karate....read full review

Most of the people who train here have come up to me, introduced themselves, and took effort to welcome me, regardless of their rank or years of training. The rest have been pleasant when I engaged with them. Each senpai (instructor) offers a unique perspective and training style, which has helped...read full review
