“I have been doing business with Brister-Stephens for over 10 years. My house was a rental for a few years and I had a home warranty so I have had plenty experience with other companies over the years. For the most part it is extremely hard to find a good AC/Heat company and because I was living in another state I was often a victim some shady folks. Our house has three units. The renters were responsible for minor repairs and service calls. The renter for some reason called another company. They walked in and wanted to replace everything (30k). They left without two of the units working. I call Jason Taylor at Brister and he had a tech over the next day and repaired with a quick fix just to get some AC in the house and then ordered parts to repair. 2500$ vs 30k. So happy with Brister-Stephens. They have never steered me wrong or taken advantage of me. Special shout out to Jason and Lori Taylor who have always made me feel like a highly valued customer. “Richard Weixel build our home in Mandeville in 2001. We were new to the process and, I am sure, required every ounce of patience he had. We initially trusted him because he lived in the neighborhood where we built and was just an honest and straightforward guy from day 1.As we embark on building a new home in another state, we have lately been reminiscing about our first build and how that experience, despite my being pregnant and sick the entire build, made us long to build again one day.Our home was exactly as we asked. Richie was great at keeping everything on time and keeping us updated. He had an almost 6th sense of knowing what to suggest. We ended up building the first floor plan he suggested even though we went through tons of plans. The house has great curb appeal to this day and lots of extras we longed for when we moved out of state.I realized that at the time of our build, online reviews weren’t as much of a “thing” and wanted to make sure I came and put one in for our first and always favorite builder Richie.“
