A few years ago this vet was FANTASTIC! I’m not sure when or why things changed & this place became so expensive ($275 annual visit regularly became totals of $750 for a senior dog & $500 for a young dog both under 20 pounds) they saw my senior dog 10/8 on 10/22 I went to ask for medication to help my dog with some of the issues discussed at visit since non medication routes were not working and was told that I would have to pay for my dog to be seen again by a different vet because the one who was treating him on the 8th was on vacation.. so I’m assuming they didn’t take notes on the numerous things they charged me for

Thankfully our fur baby has received great service from here . Our pup has been seen by Dr. Lauren Hurst, Dr. Morgan,& recently by Dr. Jeon . They all were very good and especially took the time to answer any questions or concerns we’ve had for our girl. Also, I’ve never had an issue with getting an appointment. Staff are also helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this clinic.

Dr. Allison was wonderful as always. However, the tech, Amanda Bowden, was absolutely HORRID. If you want the best for your beloved pet make sure to request that Amanda Bowden is NOT part of your animal’s care. She was visibly aggravated when our elderly dog (blind and deaf!) was not complying with her restraint. She was overly rough with her and did not care to show ANY bedside manners (rolling eyes, no apologies or any words of encouragement, etc.). In addition, the muzzle she put on was too tight and left marks on our dogs snout. I hope this will be addressed for the sake of future patients.

The staff is very friendly here. The doctor is professional. They helped our puppy. I am grateful to them for that.

My Golden Doodle Levi had emergency surgery by Dr. Joe on Friday night. The service at Metairie Small Animal Hospital was absolutely amazing!!! I have decided to make them my full time veterinary clinic for both of my boys!!! The service by the entire staff was awesome!!! Thank you so much for saving my baby’s life!!! Looking forward to many years with you all!!!?????
