One patient's mother, who was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer, faced significant delays in receiving a referral to an oncologist, causing frustration and concern. Despite these challenges, the clinic appears to offer a range of medical services and a dedicated team of healthcare providers who strive to address their patients' needs.
My mother has been a patient of Dr. Saucier for over 20 years. She was seen by his partner, Dr. Maranto, in the hospital, and diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer. She was discharged from the hospital February 14th, stating they would refer to an oncologist. 12 days later, and we still do not have the referral to the oncologist from them. We have called, emailed, and sent messages on the portal to the clinic with no response or actions. The oncologist's office even called and requested the referral, yet it was not sent. Time is not on my mother's side. She is 78 years old. Every day she waits to see an oncologist is torture, not knowing her fate. How hard is it to send paperwork to the oncologist I provided an email and phone number for? Absolute disrespectful care. The upside is that we found a transitional care company Monday out of desperation for help, and they scheduled a same day appt with a provider. The referral was sent same day. We are very disappointed in the lack of concern and communication for my mother by Bossier Family Medicine.
Hannah Np and Dr Saucier are the best, they take the time to listen to the symptoms you are having and come figure out what is wrong with you. I went in thinking I was going crazy because of what was happening to my body. Hannah diagnosed my problem, she took the time to listen to me, did tests to make sure of what was wrong with me, and reassured me that I was going to be fine. Thans again Hannah and Dr Saucier for taking such good care of me.
Great staff caring people and makes it a comfortable experience at the doctors office !!!
