“Ok, so whenever I'm out of town I try to have as many local experiences as possible, and ain't nothing more local than getting your hair done. I know, chancey for sure because you don't know the stylists and they don't know you, but I took a leap on faith that Black women, no matter where you are, gonna lay that hair. I had to pick from a selection of stylists, which wasn't too hard since everyone had impeccable skill from their photos. I booked online which was super seamless. I think the most challenging part was articulating what I wanted done (which I think was also challenging for my stylist). However, in the end, she gave me exactly what I wanted and I feel super cute for the remainder of my NOLA trip. Thanks ladies for the lively entertaining conversations (which I stayed quiet through the whole time cuz ain't nothing worse than a newbie inserting themselves in shop business) and thank you Cori for your patience and execution. “The lash tech Vanessa is AMAZING! She’s a perfectionist. She gives you exactly what you ask for, nothing less. She is very precise. Today was my first time with her. I’ve tried everyone else and she is the best! She is knowledgeable and cares about your before and after care. As long as I’ve been coming here, no one has ever mentioned to me that the reason why my lashes fall off so quickly is because I use coconut oil on my natural lashes before hand and wash with soap and water. I thought I washed off, but it doesn’t. Vanessa gave me in-site on what to do and not do. I have officially found my favorite lash tech and I won’t be going to anyone else. Also, my eyes didn’t burn at all after. If you want someone knowledgeable and patient, choose Vanessa. I promise, you won’t regret it.“

When I arrived I was seated right at my appointment time, the space was clean and beautifully decorated, and Angelique was professional as well as incredibly personable. I paid $60 for the natural set and my lashes look beautiful, I made an appointment for a refill as soon as I left!!! Cannot recommend this place enough, I wish I could give more than 5 stars.“

“Sometimes you just have to treat yourself! And I decided it was time for a facial. I looked for a spot nearby that also had online booking and the type of service I was look for. I booked a facial with Aleah and she was wonderful. Her technique was gentle but I could definitely feel that she was covering every bit of my face. I loved the results and felt pampered rather than scrubbed. The space is lovely and is in an old house. Everything is clean and fresh. However, because the spaces are open, you are just in your street clothes for services, if I had realized that, I wouldn't have worn a colored shirt. Also when you go to pay, you have to ask about tipping as it is not suggested.“

“I moved here 3 months ago and had a nightmare experience with a different nail salon so I’ve been scared to go to any other nail salons in the city. I also had an issue with the nail spa about a block from here. Nothing too crazy there. They just didn’t have good customer service and I knew to just leave. Thank God this place wasn’t too far away. It was right down the street. I really enjoyed this place and definitely see myself coming back. The customer service was really good. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because they don’t do dip powder so I ended up having to get an acrylic overlay instead. Also filed my nails a little shorter than I wanted but, both of the ladies knew exactly what they were doing because I love my nails regardless and actually love that they’re shorter (my nails grow very long anyway). All in all, really good experience and would definitely recommend. I would keep in mind, again, that if you’re looking for dip powder, you will be a bit disappointed but they’ll still make sure you leave satisfied.“
