Carly was great. She cut my hair well and asked for guidance from an instructor when she needed it. Thanks for the introduction to Jazzmine Sullivan!

How you going to make an appointment and don't show up and be closed? Like are you people serious right now? Second of all the lady at Paul mitchell tried to tell me that I don't know my appointment and students not in today, like girl I knew when I set up that appointment for. These women at this establishment needs to get it together, if you going to teach your students about customer service, you don't leave your customers disappointed in your service.

Updated in response to their reply… Whoever responded said they offered to correct what their student did. They offered me a free facial or to have the same student redo my hair. Which I obviously declined. I had to pay to go somewhere else where they had to cut several inches off to even out what their student did. Also, there was an instructor who looked at my hair several times and approved the haircut.

If I could give this place one star I would. Made an appointment for a haircut after seeing someone’s post on Nextdoor. I asked for one inch to be trimmed off my straight bob. The student was visibly nervous, and she also told me she was. Brief summary… The instructor came over and started the haircut. The student struggled the whole time cutting my hair, curling my hair with a flat iron and the blow dryer. After she finished my haircut, the instructor came by and told her she did a great job. The student styled my hair wavy so I could not tell really what have been done to it. Had I seen what she did to it prior to leaving I would’ve had it corrected or asked for someone else to correct it. I noticed the next day after straightening my hair how choppy it was, how uneven it was, one side was longer than the other. The layers were visibly uneven. It was a hot mess. I ended up going somewhere else two days later to get it fixed. I reached out to three of the directors at the school, asking for a refund, sent photos of the work, and told them I was shocked that the instructor signed off on what she did to my hair. I was told since I signed a waiver, knowing that it was a student that they would not give me my money back. I totally understand that, however. The instructor should have seen what she did to my hair. They asked me if I would come back in a while the student to fix it… Absolutely not. They offered me a free facial instead of. Absolutely not. I just wanted my money back since I had to pay someone else to fix what she did which they denied. The student acknowledged after I sent her the photos how bad of a cut it was and told me the instructor should have caught it and worked with her more. Proceed with caution when going to this place! I have a slew of photos of what she did, attaching two.

Got an awesome haircut and styling by my granddaughter and her supervisor! It’s one of the best haircuts I’ve had in my life!

I did not want My facial with Parkha to end. She is skilled with her hands and delivers the best facial massage. She has a keen knowledge of ingredients and techniques. I felt and looked like a different person after the facial was over. It is hard finding a good facialist in town… I am sad to see her go.

I want to start by giving credit where it’s due. THE stylist who did my hair was absolutely amazing. She slayed my crown, and I left feeling beautiful. That part of my experience was a full 5 stars.
However, what I witnessed from the instructor, Steven, completely overshadowed my visit and I cannot in good conscience stay silent about it.
While I was in the chair, I watched Steven speak to a female student in a way that was condescending, dismissive, and frankly disrespectful. He stood over her with his arms crossed, laughing at her struggles, and repeatedly called her “girl” — not in an encouraging way, but in a belittling one. His comments included things like “Atta girl,” “I’m done with you,” “I’m over it,” and “So what did we learn from this?” — all delivered with a tone that was mocking rather than instructive.
Watching a grown man in a position of authority speak to a young woman that way — a student who is there to learn — was deeply disheartening. There is a profound difference between tough instruction and humiliation. What I witnessed was the latter.
Paul Mitchell schools market themselves as institutions that build confidence and professionalism. That standard needs to apply to the people doing the teaching, not just the students being taught.
I hope leadership takes this seriously.

The instructors is great but the others Steven, Cat, Gail!!! WATCH OUT. Black women as future professionals is a target your melanated skin is so alluming that they always focus on you (steve and cat) and not in a good way. They want to find wrong and a flaw in you. Steven sarcasm is ridiculous. He’s always making the white girls cry. There’s unfair treatment in the school. There is no one to advocate for the students when there is a problem because they all back each other up. Adults of authority speaking in passive aggressive tone to other adults but because they are students they think it’s okay and no one has a voice to say anything. You can’t speak to them how they speak to you because then YOU are wrong no accountability from them. The school is not the problem it’s a staff problem. Gail just let them run the school ANYWAY.
