So my first visit here was every bit as dope as I imagined. I was honestly overwhelmed by the amount of records they had. Mr. V was super cool from the moment I walked in. I didn’t really know what I was looking for I just knew I wanted to dig through the crates. 😂
Mr. Victor must’ve seen “Hot Boy” written all over me because out of nowhere he held up Juvenile’s 400 Degreez and said, “Look what I found.” I was like, “Hell yeah!” That instantly broke the ice.
From there I found a D’Angelo album, and Mr. Victor even found a Rufus featuring Chaka Khan record for me. He also threw in a gem for my wife.

Hands down the best record shop in Baton Rouge. The shop is packed full of inventory which at first glance might seem like it is disorganized to the uninitiated but don't let that fool you. Victor, the owner, knows where everything is and helped me locate probably a dozen different records that I purchased at fair prices. Victor doesn't seem like the type of guy that would take crap from a rude visitor, which I totally relate with, and that's how it should be. We got to chatting and since I was visiting from out of state he was even kind enough to provide a great recommendation for a local barbeque lunch spot. I can not say how enjoyable of an experience this was! I came looking for records for my wife. And left feeling enriched, nostalgic and like I had found a new secret place to find all sorts of classics. I’ve read negative reviews of the owner… IGNORE THEM… Victor was one of the most humble, helpful and knowledgeable people I’ve met. Could’ve talked for hours about music and life! I’ll definitely be back!
