I brought my pregnant dog there because after having 1 puppy hours went by, she was having problems delivering. It was the weekend and I was told they were only emergency vet open. They wanted $400 deposit before seeing my dog. Dr brought her to the back to examine her, we heard her screaming 😱, we figured they got the puppy out. Came back and told us she needed a C-Section. It took supposedly 3 hours for them to get to her. We came as soon as they called, and were told puppies did not make it. We brought our precious Daisy home and within a day she started bleeding. We took her back, explained to the Dr. that she had just been at the clinic a day ago and had a C-Section. He said it appears to be a blood disease, she needs a blood transfusion. We told the Dr that shes never had any issues with bleeding and we believe its from the recent surgery. They collected $ before and did the transfusion. We picked her up immediately and were given blood clotting meds. A day later she started bleeding large clots of blood again. At this point, our bank account was drained. They would gave to do another blood transfusion, which did not work the 1st time. They were not even trying to work with us. Wanted the $$$ up front. After spending approximately $4,000 our precious Daisy passed away. It still hurts me to this day

1st off, this place gets confused often for Sherwood South Animal Hospital (24 hour Emergency Vet off Sherwood Forest Blvd). This is NOT the same place.

I have been going to Dr. Mitchell (the only vet) for years with all 5 of my fur babies. I have loved her calmness, thoroughness, fairness in price, and her genuine care for my pets.

The office is outdated and may not look desirable, but let me tell you, the care my dog, Ginger, in particular had received from Dr. Mitchell in by far the BEST I have ever experienced. Ginger was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease, but eventually passed away with severe pancreatitis. Dr. Mitchell did everything and anything to save her, but her body could not handle.

If you want a vet that takes her time to explain everything going on with your furbaby to you, explains everything in medical terms and layman's terms. DO NOT WALK, but RUN to make an appointment.

Thank you, Dr. Mitchell for everything you did for Ginger <3

We've been with Dr. Mitchell and her staff for over 5 years. They have have been nothing but kind, patient and understanding when it came our dog. She had a tumor and it was successfully removed which extended her life another good 3 years. Until the end 🌈, Dr. Mitchell was always thorough and helpful. We will use them again if we decide on another pup β™₯️

I have only taken my pet there once because my son uses them and just boasted on their service. If you would like a one on one experience with your vet then this is your place. They are ALL just very sweet people!
