Marcie made the class portion engaging and informative which my son greatly appreciated. But the driving part was the piece that solidified I had made the perfect choice. My son rode with Ms Brumfield and Ms Johnson. They were very patient with him, having only practiced driving in parking lots. They explained what he would be doing during his two hours and that they would move on once he felt comfortable. This experience was so wildly different from my oldest that I wished I had chosen Mom’s for his classes too. I would wholeheartedly recommend this driving academy to anyone and everyone.“

2064 N Flannery Rd, Baton Rouge“Enrolling in truck driving school was a big decision, and overall, it turned out to be a valuable and eye-opening experience. From day one, I knew I was stepping into a whole new world, and I was ready for the challenge. The instructors were knowledgeable and had real-world experience, which made a big difference. They didn't just teach from a book - they shared tips and stories from the road that helped put things into perspective. While some instructors were more patient than others, they all made sure we were learning what mattered most: safety, control, and confidence behind the wheel. The classroom portion was mostly focused on preparing us for the CDL permit, learning the rules of the road, and understanding logbooks, hours of service, and regulations. Once we moved to the yard and got behind the wheel, that's when things really clicked. Practicing backing maneuvers, pre-trip inspections, and road driving brought everything together. It was intense, but that's the kind of pressure that gets you ready. Some of the trucks were a bit older, but they were maintained well enough for learning purposes. It actually helped to train on tougher equipment because it gave me confidence that I could handle anything on the road. Truck driving school wasn't easy, but it was worth it.
Long hours, a steep learning curve, and some frustrating moments were all part of the process - but it taught me the skills and discipline I needed. If you're serious about getting into the trucking industry, be prepared to work hard, listen more than you talk, and practice as much as you can.
I walked in knowing almost nothing about driving a semi. I walked out with my CDL and my confidence. That's what matters.“

I especially appreciated that the school would pick my kids up from their school for the driving portion…that was amazing! I researched many schools before picking this one and found their prices to also be extremely reasonable. They were also willing to work with our conflicts and accommodate our personal crisis that occurred during training. I found them helpful , professional and kind. Thanks ago Team!!! I will continue to send people your way!“
