Now on to the review- I have naturally wavy virgin hair that lies slightly on the straighter side rather than tight curls. On top of that my hair is extremely thick, so most times I've tried to go to a stylist in the past they always left my hair uneven and me dissatisfied.

I booked a consultation initially just to get a feel of the place as well as how she'd approach my hair. All I wanted to do was cut off length (Abt 10 inches) off my 16-18 inch hair because it was getting heavy and hot for summer. She told me exactly how she'd do it, what to expect when I come in for my haircut appointment, and what to book on her website service wise.

Fast forward to today and I must say I'm impressed! Firstly I appreciated it was a small shop so no loud noises, I didn't get overstimulated from people or other stylists, and of course her small dogs were a sweet bonus :) Surprisingly her niece was there, but she didn't take my hair slot time and she was very nice to talk to! It felt familial/friendly so it wasn't awkward.

Brittany made sure to go over what we had talked about at the consultation, making sure it was still what I wanted before I went through with it. I had to stand for her to cut my hair but I didn't mind it. She made sure I was comfortable and mentioned when she cut my hair, even stopping periodically to make sure if this was the length I wanted.

Her mother (I think? Forgot to ask), showed up mid appointment but she didn't interrupt my hair cut for longer than 2 minutes. She was very kind as well. If anything I found it amusing I was getting a whole family in the shop, but I'm sure this isn't the normal experience! Her little dog was sweet as well and they kept to themselves as Brittany finished cutting my hair.

At the end, she asked if I wanted product in my hair. I asked her if I'd have to pay for it which she said no and then I got what she recommended. A hair oil to seal my ends where she freshly cut. We reviewed the length one last time and she told me if I needed an adjustment further in the week to let her know as we cut off a lot of hair. We both agreed my hair needed the break and to make sure we didn't cut it too short.

Finally, I paid at the end. She adjusted the service type because what I ended up getting done was cheaper than what I had booked for. It was very kind of her to not overcharge me for simply cutting my hair length off. :)
