About Baptist Health Primary Care - Deer Park
Baptist Health Medical Group Primary Care is a healthcare provider that has undergone positive changes in recent years. After being acquired by the Baptist Health conglomerate, the practice has been able to steer itself back to its core mission of providing excellent care to those in need. The staff is described as friendly, welcoming, and caring, with a particular emphasis on being inclusive of the LGBTQIA+ community. Patients have reported positive experiences, with doctors being patient, understanding, and thorough in their approach. The practice has also demonstrated advocacy on behalf of patients, fighting against insurance denials to ensure they receive the appropriate treatment. The online patient portal allows patients to manage information and appointments easily, though calling for most appointments is recommended due to limited portal options. Patients appreciate the staff's helpful, courteous, and proactive attitude. The doctors, such as Dr. Weiss and Dr. Pendleton, are praised for their attentive approach, listening carefully and ensuring patients understand their health issues. Overall, Baptist Health Medical Group Primary Care is recognized for its commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate healthcare in a friendly and inclusive environment.
Been seeing Dr. Pendleton since 2020 and he has been one of the best doctors I’ve ever come across. Very kind, patient, and thorough. Everyone at the front desk is great. Very clean office. Since I started going there my sister, brother-in-law and husband have all started with this practice. We all love it!
The staff are nice. The online patient portal lets you manage information & appointments easily (though I recommend calling to make most appointments, as the options on the portal are limited & requests aren't reviewed by staff), & it can connect to some other patient portals to share information between them.
I have been a patient of Dr. Weiss for several years. From the first time I met her, we established a rapport wherein she really listened to me and my concerns. Fast forward to a catastrophic accident and she was there to walk the extra mile with me. A couple of years later, following a broken elbow, she advised me which ER to visit and then had a back-up plan if they were too busy to see me. Each time I go in for a check-up, she knows me and as we discuss the results of my exams and blood work, she makes sure I understand the significance of any issue. While the Practice is currently associated with Baptist Health, the people in the office have been extremely helpful, courteous, and proactive. My son is now a patient of Dr. Pendleton and is very satisfied with the professionalism shown him.
