I’ve used Needles and Pins several times, and the owner is always professional and straightforward — in the best way. When I asked her to take two inches off a pair of slacks, she insisted I try them on first, saying, “I want to do a good job for you.” That attention to detail shows in her work.
I had six pairs taken in at the waist and one hemmed, and every pair fit perfectly when I picked them up. I’ve already dropped off more clothes for adjustments because I trust her quality and precision.

I have been using Needles and Pins Alterations for a while now and Sofiya has been a pleasure to work with. I can do my own alterations, but sometimes life just gets in the way and I take my items to her. For those who aren’t familiar with how alterations work, most tailors charge a minimum of $20 per hour plus the cost of supplies and overhead. I used a custom seamstress a few years ago and she charged $65 per hour, but she was custom. I wouldn’t use anyone but Sofiya for my alterations.

I recommend this establishment for its quality and timely service. My sister went to Needles and Pins in 2021 to have her senior prom dress altered and the woman who did the service made her a mask with the additional fabric and a filter without being asked which we felt was really considerate. Due to the quality of service I went back in 2022 to have my own prom dress altered(see photos below). The woman who took care of me was very lovely in all aspects and I have been recommending this business to all of my friends for any of their alteration needs.
