I went in for my first haircut here and asked for a simple trim on my layers, some face-framing, and for the back to be cut in a V-shape. Unfortunately, my hair came out much shorter than I requested-the amount cut was far more than a trim. While styling, the stylist pulled very hard with the brush and when i looked at my hair from the back it was round shaped not V shaped which i did not like The whole experience felt rushed, and overall, I don't feel the haircut was worth what I paid. BASE COLOR - NATURAL ASH PERFECTION! I have previously struggled with brassy base colors with other stylists. My nemesis! Hope created the perfect ash base color while avoiding brassy undertones. She actually listened to me when I said a developer at 20 was too strong for me and leaves my color brassy and she lowered it to what my fine hair prefers + tailored the color to my specific needs. She delivered that cooler base I had in my younger days.
BRIGHT HIGHLIGHTS = SHINE: The highlights are exactly what I wanted and have missed. The brightness against the ash base created that perfect contrast, imparting a shine straight from the beach. Her baby-lites are perfect and better for me than the trendy and thicker highlights that can overpower my fine hair and end up looking striped. Previously with other stylists, I have felt my highlights were muddy against my base color.
HAIR THINNING ISSUES: I am thinning around the hairline along my face and missed having highlights there, as base color only seemed to make it appear thicker but made my skin feel dull. Hope created the illusion of volume with a depth and brightness by artfully placing the highlights where I had enough base colored hair behind them to back them up. With highlights framing my face once again, I can pull my hair up or back and still have the brightness against my skin, yet I do not look bald.
SHE LISTENS! Hope's warmth, knowledge, and kindness were truly appreciated. She made me feel not only valued as a client but also understood on a personal level. I know with my very specific concerns, it might not be as much fun or creative for a stylist, but she never made me feel odd for all my input.

Taylor EXCEEDED my expectations by THOUSANDS of miles. Holy cow!! I showed her a couple photos for inspiration, and she matched them. Exactly. It’s the best dye job I’ve ever had. Seriously ever. She was so kind and honest in saying it might not be exactly what I wanted because of the logistics. But man, she is a magician because it is perfect. I so recommend her. I will never use anyone else ever again. I found my hair person. 1000/10.

I love the people and the atmosphere but was disappointed in my cut and style. Messaged stylist on instagram and not received a response. Gave a review of disappointment and was hoping someone would reach out to me but no one has. ?. Sad. I’m getting ready to turn 59 and wanted something fun. First two pics is what I wanted. Last pic is what I got.
