I absolutely love my providers at Ascension Via Christi. However, their billing department is an absolute nightmare. I have received bills in the wrong amount, bills in the wrong name, split bills, and now a bill from over a year ago that my insurance fully covered that is marked “past due“. I have spoken to at least five different people and been given five different answers. The last time I spoke to someone, I was told that it was all taken care and processed. However, I have since received two more bills for the same account marked past due. No one seems to be able to resolve this issue or even call me back. Standards of care should encompass the entire patient experience, including billing and administration. Paying medical bills should not become a second full-time job but that’s exactly what it is with this organization.

I was very disappointed with our experience during an initial appointment with Dr. Björkman for my daughter. From the beginning, her bedside manner felt rushed and dismissive. Within just 10 minutes of the initial visit, she stood up and mentioned she had six other patients to see, making us feel like an inconvenience rather than a priority.
During that brief time, she attempted to re-diagnose my daughter based on very limited information - including a comment I made about her talking in her sleep could be seizures-and suggested changing her medication. When I voiced concerns and chose not to proceed with the new prescription right away, she refused to refill the medication my daughter had previously been stable on.
The issues didn't stop there. Her nurse was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful during follow-up phone calls, and despite multiple attempts to speak with HR or management about our concerns, no one has returned my calls. As a parent, this lack of responsiveness and compassion is unacceptable. We expected more care and consideration in a medical setting, especially when it involves a child.

The Radiology CT department are very informative about step by step of what she will do. The staff are very respectful, friendly and helpful to your needs . It only took 10 minutes to get images done. We didn't have to wait long in the waiting room after getting check in.

Had a few good experiences as well as very unpleasant ones. This could be expected when there are multiple doctors and specialists being seen. However most of my experiences have not been good. Most unpleasant was being told to "call back in a few days" for biopsy results ( I then asked about the specific day) and when I did so the answering nurse stated she had but couldn't understand results and that she'd leave a message for the doctor. I then called the office my Via Christi primary care physician for results and was told the most I could do was leave another message. At days end not having heard from anyone I called again to follow up on getting my biopsy results. I was told I could leave another message. It's over 24 hours later and still no call back with results. Patient portal was not helpful either as I checked prior to calling and after. This is at least my 4th time of having problems getting medical information and assistance in the 3 months I first began seeing doctors within this network. In this case It seems quite insensitive to be kept on hold for biopsy results. It's true the pandemic has put strains on many and some expectations need to take this into consideration. Yet a lack of care in small areas begins to set ( or signify) a pattern where a lack of care in larger areas could exist. Don't see myself continuing with the Via Christi network or recommending them.

Nice facility. The tech was sympathetic and understanding in regard to claustrophobic people like me. The big donut wasn't too scary. I was able to get through the test with minimal pain. I recommend this facility to anyone needing a bigger tube to go through for their MRi.
