Horrible experience with the (extremely under qualified) pediatricians, ruined my feeding journey by forcing formula on my baby and guilt tripping me saying that Im starving my baby showing me some bs chart, even though she was happy, alert, gaining weight and getting enough wet diapers a day. She had a great latch and I expressed more milk than she was eating and they just told me “my milk isn’t providing enough for her”. Eventually I switched to a different (way more experienced) pediatrician and now she is 2 months old, meeting all milestones, gaining weight well and EBF. How about you listen when parents want to BF their babies and stop pushing formula?? I’d rather have a baby gain weight a little slower than other formula fed babies than have them grow up to have diabetes, obesity, hypertension and other chronic conditions. My supply tanked because of all the stress as a first time mom and baby not getting to cluster feed during those first few weeks. I had to work really hard to bring it back up. One of the pediatricians even told me that fore milk contains more fat and thats what I should be feeding her?? How are these people even licensed to practice??

I brought my daughter here for maybe 3 months before moving to Tennessee in March of last year. I’ve been fighting with this office for almost a year to send over my daughter’s medical records to her new doctor. I’ve sent 3 different ROI’s for them to release her records to her new doctor and they have absolutely refused to do so. This establishment is a joke, and don’t get me started on the fact your kid will never see the same doctor or a doctor at all cause 99% of the time it’s just nurses.

I think if you can find another doctor do so. They are a training clinic so you will see a different doctor/med student every time you go. The desk staff and the doctors do not communicate and schedule differently, it takes several months in advance to book and appointment. You also wait an extremely long time for anyone to actually do anything. You will wait anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour for doctor. The doctors also are not on the same page on information. Had an issue with my youngest when she began mill and solid food around age 1, 3 different doctors told me it was a lactose intolerance after months of issues, the last doctor informed me it was impossible for those under 5 to have a lactose intolerance. And that it was a problem digesting over processed foods...changing her diet to his recommendation did infact solve her issues fully and extremely quickly. We also had the issue of getting our middle son diagnwuth autism, they didnt want to when he was a toddler and you child when he struggled in daily acting school but now that hes a teen a settled just fine, they want him diagnosed and want me to go to Kansas city to get a diagnosis. Before they tried pushing ADHD meds, I refused.

If I can give this place a zero star I WILL . !
They do not listen to ANY of my concerns about my newborn. And I KNOW HIM THE BEST. !

They also sent him to the hospital they claimed “ failure to thrive”cause he wasn’t at the right weight. I breast fed him for about 2 weeks then switched him to formula cause I wasn’t producing enough. They basically said I wasn’t feeding him enough or correctly. If I wasn’t producing enough I wouldn’t have switched him to formula. I didn’t want to starve my son.! I did the right thing on switching. They also put in his chart that I’m unable to make a bottle WHEN I KNOW HOW!

I told them he’s been throwing up almost every fed and they said that’s normal. When it’s absolutely not normal he throws up after every fed. SPIT up is okay but not throw up ! I will definitely be looking for a new doctor. Not to mention when we went to the hospital we got treated like crap at Wesley I not be associating with Wesley or KU PEDS!

Today we saw a new doctor here. I’m a foster parent and my daughter is a teen mother. So many places have treated her differently finding out than even my other kids. A lot of places talk to me about her child’s care instead of her. His name is Nathan Sanders. I highly recommend him. He is honestly the best must caring doctor I’ve ever met. He made sure we were comfortable. Explained everything in a calm manner. Made sure we had all the information we needed. What to look for in the future. When to be concerned. Addressed all of our ?s. Didn’t make us feel rushed. I truly believe he cares about his patients. He is honestly a blessing to the medical field. I wish more doctors were like him.

This place will call DCF if you miss 1 visit and don't call to reschedule. I called to reschedule 2 minutes after our appointment time and the nurse told me she would call after checking with the doctor to see what days and times they had available. DCF was notified and told that we had missed multiple visits and said my daughter had a preexisting condition that I was never informed about. They said I never called when I have phone records to prove I did. My daughter also never had a preexisting condition either. My personal experience was horrible and I felt like I was judged and something was off with this place since my first interaction with them at the hospital after my daughter was born.

Communication is key to running a successful clinic. Communication between staff members and staff to patients. Following thru with what you've promised to do, is another key factor. BOTH of these need work. Maybe they're overworked or understaffed but regardless that reflects on their patient care.

I would find a better place to take your little ones. The doctor I saw yesterday isn't knowledgeable about children or people at all.
